Wouldn’t even give it one star. I didn’t get this persons name but I wish I had done so. I called up again after the first call didn’t go through to me. I apologised saying I’m sorry about that as some things aren’t under your control. To my dismay, the staff who picked up rudely in a high tone said ‘you don’t pick up your phone’, did not listen to what I had to say at all. I don’t understand how these people ‘serving the public’ and all can even be given the role of communicating with their customers. So disappointed. I hate to think how they speak to their own family if they can’t do the simple task of speaking nicely to the people they work with. I really do hope these staff get investigated because it is actually a joke.
Wonderful dining experience. Varied menu catering for all, extensive drinks menu. A worthy contender for a Michelin star. The turn down service and early wake-up call is amazing, never felt forgotten. This is one of the hardest escape room experiences though. Would thoroughly recommend.
Giving 1 star as 0 stars are available. Have constantly called this facility for updates regarding a case. "Ayo" answered the phone on all occasions, completely unhelpful, spoke over me and constantly stated for me to "let him finish" with no respect to actually listen to me, spoken with a belittling tone and also put the phone down on me numerous times. All members who are presented as a "figure of authority" or "protecting the public" should give respect to also gain it. Please provide customer service training to people dealing with the general public.
After reading the reviews seems like i am not the only person having such a negative experience. Absolutely horrible experience actually. I was sent in the facility by an operator over the 101 phone. The reception here is unattended so the only way to speak to someone is over the intercom. First day I went to pay visit was around 6pm, a lady spoke to me and did not care of what i had to say and wanted to get rid of me by giving a number to call. I called and they did not answer. So i had to speak to the lady again who seemed to not care about my case at all and again sent an officer to speak to me only to tell me to come back the following day as he wasn't able/authorized to access the room where my belongimg was kept reason: the room is very vast and control substances may be kept in there. Fair enough i went back the following day to experience even worse. Again i had to reach someone through intercom, this man over the intercom was absolutely rude and uhelpful. Not only he did not listen, kept talking over me and obviously asked me information that i tried to supply but couldn't since he kept interrupting me or asked me details i wasn't able to give for example "name of the officer that collected my belonging". Clearly if i met the officer that collected it i would have taken it from him. In the end he just gave me another number to call. I then called and seems like it was within the same facility and this time a lady, "Lisa" answered telling me she had no idea where the item would be sent, she can't see it she looked for less than 10 seconds and said "u can keep trying and see if we recieve it or go dagenham". It is so hard to even talk and explain your case. How is this "serving and protecting the public". And everything makes sense now. The crime level in barking and dagenham is extremely high and knife crime is on the rise day by day. Staff in this facility is lacking in basic comunication and customer service skills. I can only imagine how well the rest of the tasks are performed. And i may also suggest to seek a different occupation if doing this job does make you frustrated. Especially if that job carries responsability that affects people lives, because clearly you are affecting it negatively and the worst part is that you do not care at all.
Was stopped by a copper who had an attitude because i was taking photos of the marked cars leaving the custody base, after teaching him about having to tell people when he turns his bodycam on and informing him i could in fact take as many photos as i wanted with no reason, even though i gave him one i was ready for handing out a 1 star until i manged to get 2 vids of vehicles responding and both gave us a friendly thumbs up when they drove past and each claw back a star for Barking police.
Although the officers who initially handed my case were extremely rude and cocky but the staff at the custody base were quite professional and polite. Especially officer Bal Singh... He is a sight for sore eyes.
Useless! Called 20+ times with no answer. Am aware there are PLENTY staff strolling around constantly taking cigarette breaks. Have seen it with my own eyes. Seriously, get some training or shut down this base. Incompetent and useless! Would give 0 stars if possible.
Be careful, they listen in on all calls and treat people worst than animals. Take a rude tone on the phone, last place I would want to be.
Wouldnt even give this one star, but I have to write a review. Spoke to someone and she was really rude hung up the phone one, I tried ringing over and over again she picks up the phone, and puts it down straight away!!! Very poor service!!!
Theres a police station in barking centre behind barclays on ripple road but this is the main one for the Barking and Dagenham area with bus stop outside.
