Frenchay Village Museum as it was in about the year 1910. The building was acquired and converted to a museum by the Frenchay Tuckett Society and opened in May 2000.
Frenchay Village grew up on the outskirts of Bristol because the Quakers and Unitarians were not allowed to worship in the City centre. The museum records some of the interesting lives and exploits of the early residents who built their houses and places of worship here. It also displays the history of Frenchay Hospital. Local records of schools, churches, clubs are available to browse through.
To save and show the history of Frenchay Village for future generations
