I‘m very happy with my point shoes and simple training shoes. Very kind and helpful ladies and girls. Was here for the third time and every single time got super service and patient help
Not sure. We went for point shoes fitting appointment. We ended up buying very expensive wool and wrong size toe pads. The lady who helped us first was moved to other more demanding customer. Because my daughter is new to point shoes, would be good if they care a bit more about what they sell, otherwise there is not much point to visit the shop. We will go to a different shop/brand for 2nd pointe shoes.
For mens dance shoes in London they are the best a man can get! Had half sizes to fit my 12.5 giant twinkle toes. Great service, not pushy just old worlde values. Tried 4-5 others without success. Dont expect cheap or Amazon style returns policy!
Professional friendly service, specialist knowledge - we are regular customers as children take exams at Royal Academy of Dance so value advice about bloc and pointe shoes. Best to book appointments.
Fantastic service today. My daughter had difficult and narrow pointe shoes to fit and Freed took every effort to call around and find the best possible shoes available for her. We will definitely be back when her feet grow! The COVID controls were also great. Thank you so much.
I had my first pointe shoe fitting. Then we went into total lockdown. Which was organised by the lovely Kyrie. The usual deposit was reduced as I was waiting for my student finance. This was something they did not have to do, but through Kyrie I saw the superb customer care illustrated. Once lockdown was finally lifted, I could not make it to London for a while. Eighteen months later, when I returned for the final fitting, Steph remembered who I was and what kind of padding I needed for my pointe shoes. I felt like I was treated very well, and the staff were very knowledgeable about what shoes I needed, and I got the impression that it was not about the sale but more about what best suits the customer. I cannot recommend highly how much I loved the experience at Freeds. I have been wearing the leotards and tap shoes for 30 plus years, and the quality, service, and standards for customer service, professionalism, and respect are why I continue to shop here. They are the very best in dancewear. Thank you especially to Kyrie, Chelsea and Steph, from Freeds of London.
Fabulous staff so helpful and friendly. The best shop to get your pointe shoes. No waiting now as an appointment system in place due to covid
On one hand staff were helpful when I visited the shop. On the other when nothing fit, they took my number, promised to put an order for particular size/model and never called back. : They have only one ! shoe brand, so if its sizing line does not suit your feet, you have no chance picking anything at all.
This may be traditionally a good place to buy pointes, but if you value decent customer service then I recommend you go somewhere else. I went to purchase a polish for my daughter's pointes and not only I had to wait by the counter to be noticed, but the person who served me did not care to raise her head and look at me when saying goodbye. My worse shopping experience in years. I get better service in a takeaway in Tottenham. I will make sure to check competition or buy a product online before entering this shop again.
Visited the store so that my daughter could buy some new pointe shoes. My daughter lives in the US and she dances on Freed's but they are nearly twice as expensive in the US when you buy them through another retailer. The staff here were very attentive and helpful, giving my daughter suggestions and options. Everyone is very knowledgeable and passionate about ballet and that is what makes coming to this store so special and unique. Highly recommended.
