This was not a great experience. Particularly given that they have a captive market with no real competition on the leisure park the place could have done so much more. I did not feel welcome here, more of an inconvenience to the staff. The food was OK and relatively quick to come out. The day we went there was a sign saying CASH only, no credit cards presumably an IT issue, however there was a great pay at your table service, by scanning the QR code and entering your table number, you see your whole bill and can use a card or PayPal to pay your bill saves having to inconvenience the staff.
I had a few bad experiences in the past but me and the wife decided to give it another go after a staff turn over and we were super impressed by the changes. The young lady serving us was very happy and enthusiastic and the menu change gave us great deals for a fantastic price. They would even goody bag any food you couldn't finish as you get a lot of food for your money. Food quality could be better, its not 5 star but it's definitely a nice change and a pleasant atmosphere now. I would go again.
Pretty poor service is how I’d start this review. On arrival we waited 10 mins just to get greeted. We had booked for 10 people and the booking wasn’t shown for the time of our arrival. Managed to get seated eventually but it was a squeeze. Food was ok but service was very poor and slow. Honestly I would recommend anyone to avoid and wait until positive reviews start appearing before coming to eat here.
An unusual reastraunt didn't have the same feel as a normal Frankie & Bennys may that's why it is a little frankies however the food was great had a avavage wait for food bug is cooked to order was clean lacked the normal frankie & Bennys music was bit of a shame. Was first time in the area however great bit if grub.
We went for breakfast and it was really quiet. Unfortunately I'm this occasion it didn't mean faster service. I was very disappointed with my pancakes - although they seemed fresh they were definitely overcooked on one side. I also had a chocolate milkshake that was nothing special, overpriced and small! However, the cooked breakfasts that the others had were really good - hot and tasty. It's also great value that you can have another identical plate free but the pancakes weren't good enough for more.
We came here 6/7 years ago and didn't have a good experience thus why we waited so long to come back. Wasn't worth the wait. So, the food itself was good but expensive, brie and cranberry burger lovely... Unfortunately we had a change of waiting staff half way through. First waitress hugely attentive, perfect. Second waiter, so slow, ignored us, we finished main and just sat for nigh on half an hour before anyone came over and then it appears they forgot to put our dessert order through, 20+ minutes waiting for an ice cream sundae in a nearly empty restaurant is just ridiculous. Left no tip.
Sat in here right now and extremely disappointed at how much it has deteriorated from previous visits. Menu is great with plenty of choice and the milkshakes are still as good as ever, though very pricey. The food was a huge let down. I had a full rack of ribs, the ribs I think came from a Guinea pig going on how small the rack was, and the barbecue sauce was applied so thinly I couldn't even taste it. My wife had a pepperoni pizza which tasted slightly bitter for some reason, with a very soggy consistency. My eldest son had a bacon double cheese burger. At £15 I was expecting something special, instead the burgers were hard to chew because they were dry and overcooked, and tasted slightly of charcoal, as did the bacon. He struggled to eat half as he wasn't enjoying it, and he usually inhales burgers! My youngest son had chicken nuggets which are his favourite, and he didn't like them either. We are just about to leave, feeling totally underwhelmed, under fed and overcharged. The bill? £94. Wish I'd gone to the Harvester instead.
Food was nice, but portions were very small for the prices. Compared to other places, you get much more for your money else where. It would also be nice if they used proper sundae spoons, rather than standard dessert spoons, as I had to use a knife to get the last third of the dessert out of the sundae glass! My daughter had 3 scoops of ice cream which I thought would come out in a decent sized bowl, but they were that small they came out in a coffee cup!
This really was awful from start to finish. We walked into the restaurant which was barely 10% full to stand at the entrance for 5 minutes wondering what we were doing wrong as a huddle of staff kept talking amongst themselves, looking over every now and then and not approaching us to show us to a table. Eventually when we were sat down and explained we'd like to use the voucher we were sent for the 2 can dine for £25 set menu things became very difficult. They had no menus for the set menu and had no gluten free starters on the menu which the waitress showed us from her phone despite claiming to be a gluten free friendly restaurant. We were later told that the gluten free main was not included in the deal, after ordering, and after we'd started the wine. I had to contest this to have this included in the already agreed upon price. Then came the wait....half an hour later we were approached by another member of staff to confirm which meal was required to be gluten free, all the while online delivery companies were coming and going, it's clear that the restaurant prioritises their online customers rather than those in restaurant. An hour and a half after ordering our mains came and they really weren't worth the wait. Finally the bill came, and of course this was double what was agreed when ordering with the coupon and again had to be contested. Really disappointing.
Went for a quick lunch, place was half empty, still took 5 minutes to be seated. Only 2 staff serving, waited 15 minutes for 1 starter loaded potato skins then a further half hour for the mains, 1 steak wrap and 1 Ceasar salad, which was ordered plain but came with chicken. Just as well it wasn't for a vegetarian. They didn't charge for the chicken because they messed up. Didn't have time for dessert or coffees as we only had an hour and it was used up.
