I returned to my car today which was legally parked through the day on Frank Street, Preston. At the time I thought it odd to see a member of staff watching me arrive and leave.  Something just didn't seem right about him, he was paying close attention and i got the impression he was smirking, possibly even recording me on his phone? I drove off, and all the way home I was trying to work out what had amused him. On arrival at my home address, because of his unusual behaviour I decided to walk around the car. Had I not checked, i wouldn't have seen the deep new scratch that had appeared on the passenger side. Some kind hearted individual had decided to scratch the full length of the passenger side. The scratch hadn't been there earlier when i'd parked it on Frank Street. It was without a doubt, non accidental. To build a picture of Frank Street... this is a side street off the town centre... there are no restrictions, no lines, no signs. There are no other businesses that could possibly have an issue with people parking there - the others all have off road private parking. There are no residential properties on the street - it would appear to be the perfect place to park so as not to upset anyone... You very rarely see people walking this road as it's almost an industrial area made up of businesses and shuttered units etc. My car wasn't causing an obstruction and had I have been told it was causing an issue or somone offence, I would have gladly moved it. No one mentioned any issues, no one approached me... Instead some coward simply caused around £1500 of damage to my car. The question however is, who would have any reason to do this? The only people who could have possibly been offended by my parking are the staff at Frank Street garage... The only motivation that I can possibly see for the damage, is that they alone feel they can use the on the street parking as it is near to their business. That said, I had intentionally parked it as far away from the garage as I could, so customers could park and they could still push cars out if required etc. I wasn't parked directly outside. I accept it must be frustrating for a business having random people park outside, but it's a public road, and no amount of frustration would result in me intentionally damaging someone's car. I have four kids and I park there simply to save a few quid. The few quid I save gets spent on new school uniform, replacing hats and gloves (they seem to lose them once a week through winter). Fortunately the car that was damaged is an old run around, one of four cars I have... I only use it to commute to work and for trips to the tips... it's given so little love and attention that my kids won't even get into it, they tell me it "stinks inside". The scratch has added to its character. That said, I've no doubt this was done to make a point and with the intention of putting me off parking there in future. What kind of person or organisation would do this to somones car though? This is appalling behaviour and has been reported to the Police for investigation. I will be telling everyone I know about my experience with Frank Street Garage.

Avoid avoid avoid, con man, he charged me for welding aluminium pipe by a specialist, when the pipe was steel !!!!, he hadn't had any welding done, the part he said that had been welded onto the car...was already part of the car!!! when confronted he waffled on about the time he spent on car, all he did was replace a little rubber hose that would take half hour, I ended up paying £70 which is a £30 job, scum rip off merchant
