A popular local pub on the outskirts of the ever expanding Ingleby Barwick housing estate. Has a welcoming atmosphere and serves a wide range of beers, lagers and wines. The pub offers an extensive menu catering to all tastes and dietary requirements. Can get busy on weekends and holidays so booking is sensible at these times. Overall a well run pub with helpful and polite staff.
Lovely place to eat and drink Especially in summer plenty otf outdoor space front and back. Worth the travel make a visit you wont be disappointed. The staff are friendly and amazing too
Absolutely lovely What a meal! Food was on point and so fresh. Highly recommend the burgers : so juicy and tender. Overall one of the best burgers ever! Brilliantly home cooked for the rest of the food too. One recommendation though if you are coming , portions are big which isn’t bad at all!Unbelievabley quiet at lunch too! We’ll done fox and covet! Will come again !
Absolutely beautiful!! Mince and dumplings were the best I've ever had, for lack of a better phrase;- Good old fashioned home cooking! Kids bolognese my daughter said was so delicious she wants to come here everyday for tea!!!
Excellent food and service, friendly and efficient staff who made my family, and myself feel very welcome. The chicken parmesan was absolutely cooked to perfection, and a very generous size, I don't think I'll need to eat again for a while!
I had a very nice steak, mushroom and ale pie, with a very good friend, who had turkey christmas fare, very nice too. Lovely atmosphere with christmas parties, the christmas decs and open fire only added to it! Can't speak too highly of staff, attentive but not intrusive. Got me in a christmas mood no doubt!
6 Visited with 2 autistic children on a sunday, asked if they could do some chips with plain chicken breast, 3 little slices of chicken and a portion of chips £15.45 each. Very shocked at this price, rest of our meals included chicken curry, scampi and parmo x 2. Lovely meals but totaly overpriced for small amount of chips and a bit of chicken
Tuesday night about 19:00, we walked in and there were plenty of tables to choose from. Drinks were ordered from the table once we were seated and arrived 5 mins later. From the menu we chose veggie lasagna, chicken curry and a side of onion rings. This took around 25 mins to arrive and it looked home made perhaps with the exception of the chips. Both meals were good and I've never had a bad meal in this place. If I had one complaint it would be that there wasn't quite enough curry. We need science to devise the perfect curry to chips and rice ratio Staff were attentive and friendly, the bill for 4 pints of Moretti and two meals was £43. The pub is nice inside and out, plenty of flowers on display in the beer garden. Plenty of parking, Covid rules being followed too.
