This was literally some of the best foor thay we have ever had. Bar none. The mac & cheese was AMAZING. The burger was AMAZING. The service was excellent amd the atmosphere was perfect. Relaxing, friendly, and the staff were simply perfect. They had no issues with our service animal and even gave her some pets! We will be returning!
Absolutely wonderful bar and restaurant. We had their famous Fish and Chips with Mushy Peas, well worth the wait which was long because they had a huge table of ladies in for lunch. Our teas we ordered were not so good not very hot at allnThe staff are helpful even when under pressure and helped with any questions we had. Definitely a place to try if your in Livingston.
The pub is nice, and the staff were nice, but the food was disappointing. I had the Vintage Cheddar Mac & Cheese. My partner had it as a side as well.nnYou imagine it being fairly cheesy but it wasn't. It was gloomy and very 'flourey'. Very similar to primary school macaroni cheese from the 90s. Very misleading name. No cheese topping to be seen! Took 40 mins to come out.
Service was very good, my wife's chicken burger was very good. Unfortunately me and two others ordered the venison off the specials, totally underwhelming when it came out, tiny portion of cabbage and some small pieces of sweet potato and two small pieces of venison, not hearty at all and we were all still hungry afterwards. For £17.50 we expected much better and wish we had chosen the steak off the main menu for the same price, would not return.
This place was really good. The staff were fantastic and very accommodating as we had two dogs with us.nMust say the burger with the vintage cheese was pure delight if you love cheese.nCan't recommend this place enough, will definitely go again if I'm in the area
