Top nosh. I enjoy Scottish Stack and Mrs had full breakfast. Both plates polished Friendly staff and good service. A busy wee place and we'd probably go again, however the only thing that let it down was the luke warm latte and hot chocolate.
Came for brunch and was not disappointed! Normally when we walk past, its always busy and I keep saying I'll go back - today was midweek and we were able to get a seat.nnStaff were amazing and friendly from the moment we walked in. I had the whipped feta with poached eggs, chorizo and hot honey - absolutely amazing! Nice and hot and full of flavour!nGood price for the meal too - will definitely be back!!
Great spot for casual dining on a Sunday evening. Large variety on the menu. We had someone in our party of six with dietary restrictions and they were not encumbered. Tasty food with good portions. Meringue was a delightful surprise.
Visited Café 1807 yesterday and we tried both their Special Burger and Scot Burger – a delicious, indulgent experience from start to finish!nnSpecial Burger:nThis burger is a showstopper! Served in a soft, golden pretzel bun, the towering stack included a juicy beef patty with melted cheese, fresh tomato, and an epic beer-battered onion ring that added perfect crunch and flavor. It came with sweet potato fries that were crisp on the outside and soft inside – a great pairing. The side of coleslaw and mixed salad was fresh and creamy, balancing out the rich burger beautifully.nnScot Burger:nAlso served in a pretzel bun, the Scot Burger featured a dense, flavorful black pudding patty layered over cheese and fresh greens. It was unique, hearty, and satisfying – a bold twist on the traditional burger that really celebrates local Scottish ingredients. The meal came with classic fries, crisp salad, and creamy coleslaw – all well-portioned and tasty.nnSetting & Service:nWe dined outdoors on a sunny evening with drinks including a pint of Staropramen. The staff were attentive and friendly, and the presentation of each plate was clean and appealing.nnVerdict:nCafé 1807 delivers on both flavor and atmosphere. The Special Burger is perfect for those wanting something bold and crunchy, while the Scot Burger is ideal for fans of traditional Scottish flavors. Highly recommend both!
Visiting Scotland from Hertfordshire & we came to 1807 for my son’s birthday lunch after searching for somewhere nice online.nThe entire experience was amazing, faultless in fact, our server Saul went above & beyond and was so helpful with recommendations and so kind to our son.nThe steak pie was divine, as was the steak wrap!nBeer & whiskey was excellent.nThe bar & restaurant was so pretty. Atmosphere & ambience delightful.nHighly recommend and would definitely visit again next time we are here!
