First time at the Fortune House after reading other great reviews and we can confirm it's fab. It was incredibly busy as there was a huge group booked in Sale Wine Club which actually created a great buzz and atmosphere. Despite the restaurant being full, the service we received was impeccable - cheerful, friendly and timely. The food was excellent. Thanks for a great evening
Fortune House has proven to be a true culinary gem with its exceptional Chinese cuisine. Our dining experience at this establishment left us in awe of the delightful flavors and impeccable service. From the moment we stepped in, we were greeted warmly by the staff and seated promptly, setting the tone for a memorable evening. Appetizers: We started our culinary journey with a selection of appetizers that included Prawn Crackers and Salt and Pepper Chicken. The Prawn Crackers were crisp, light, and had a wonderful prawn flavor, making them an excellent start to our meal. The Salt and Pepper Chicken was a delight for our taste buds - crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, with the perfect balance of seasoning that left us craving for more. Main Course: Moving on to the main course, we ordered the Crispy Chilly Beef and King Prawn Chowmein. The Crispy Chilly Beef was a showstopper! The beef was fried to perfection and coated in a delectable blend of spices, offering an explosion of flavors with each bite. The dish had just the right amount of spiciness, which added to its charm. As for the King Prawn Chowmein, it was a masterful combination of succulent prawns, perfectly cooked noodles, and an array of fresh vegetables. The flavors melded together seamlessly, making this dish a standout. Crispy Duck: One of the highlights of our meal was undoubtedly the Crispy Duck. The duck was flawlessly cooked, with a crispy and golden skin that encased tender, succulent meat. Served with pancakes and a variety of condiments, assembling each mouth-watering bite was a joy. The richness of the duck was beautifully complemented by the accompanying sauces, resulting in an explosion of flavors that left us mesmerized. Overall Experience: Fortune House not only impressed us with its delectable cuisine but also with its attentive and friendly staff. The ambiance was cozy and inviting, creating a perfect setting for a relaxing meal. The dishes were served promptly, and the presentation was visually appealing, indicative of the care and attention to detail put into each creation. The food was absolutely amazing, the egg fried rice was wonderful and traditional. The salt and Pepper ribs were stunning and the veg rolls were beautiful. The mains Omg, I had the lamb and mushroom house special fried rice all I can say is superb, very tasty. The appetisers I had where lovely, spring rolls, prawn toast and crispy won tons all beautifully prepared. The service was absolutely impeccable nothing was too much trouble with a few changes. All in All this is the best Chinese restaurant I've been too in years and I will be returning. Prices are very reasonable, I went with 4 people and they as the older generation wanted to try different cuisines and with drinks,I had 5 beers they had a few was around £160, that was with loads more appetisers than normal. If you like a few drinks and a fantastic meal with a couple of drinks £40 would see you through. All I can say is amazing!!!!!
What a great hidden gem! Had an excellent meal here visting from Belfast - The food was wonderful and well priced with generous portions and wonderful staff. We had young children with them which in lots of restaurants can be stressful but the staff were great with the kids and catered to their tastes too, as well as little treats on the house. Stand outs were the crispy lamb starter and the salt n pepper chicken! Can’t fault the place

First time visit and I’m very impressed with everything from friendly staff to the delicious food, didn’t have to wait long to be served or for the food to arrive, large portions well presented and even took home what we didn’t manage to eat, reasonably priced too.
Ive been going to Fortune House for a few years and the food has always been fresh and fantastic. The staff are so kind and approachable. It is by far the best Chinese in the area and will happily recommend to anyone!Food: 5/5

We don’t go anywhere else, It’s our Friday night treat and the food is beautiful. Not to mention they go above and beyond to try and make sure that any requests you ask for are met. Lovely people, Beautiful food. Wouldn’t go anywhere else
