Having my food delivered this evening I was looking forward to my scampi and chips. The chips were fine, but when I came to eat the scampi they were far to hard and unable to eat without causing me to need dental treatment. I did ring the reataurant before posting this review. I will not be having anything any time soon.
Had potatoe scallop whilst waiting for my order. Early signs were poor. Once home, the fish was worse and inedible. My wife wouldn't feed it to our dog! Tried this place a long time ago and today, gave it benefit of the doubt. It only backed up my opinion of its quality. I shall not be back.Food: 1/5
I bought a meat pie and scallop on my way home from work, the scallop was hard and the batter was thick it was awful and greasy. The meat pie wasn’t even cooked, lukewarm and pastry soggy. Should they be selling food that’s not hot. I will be contacting health and safety regarding this. I was already home and coul not be bothered to drive back. NEVER again would I eat from this place.
I’ve been going here on and off for years. Properly gone downhill recently. Last visit, the fish was covered in really thick burnt batter. Wasn’t edible, straight in the bin.
When i first moved to shaw this chippy was amazing the food was fantastic, The portions you got for the money was incredible. Now it costs a fortune for less than half what you used to get and the english curry is like jelly and full of lumps. Youre lucky if its even open most days too.
Was ok. Just thrown in fluffy manufacturers chips. Nothing amazing but fills a good hole spesh with Irish curry. Very pricey for wat it iz
One of the best chippys in our area however their chips are a little browner than what we like and needs a good helping of salt & vinegar. The English curry sauce and gravy is yummy and so is their fish! We previously tried their largeee sausages and they are equally tasty. The fishcake however was a terrible mess which is the reason for 3.. it was burnt and greasy !
Called last week ordered 4 large fish 2 chips this is a photo of one of the large fish Think I will try somewhere else next time
The best fish and chips I've had for ages, ride past this place every day and now I know why the queue goes half way down the block on a Friday, perfect fish and chips
This was one the best chippy but is now one of the worst bought a fish and large chips. Dirty old rubbery fish and chips seems like they could have been there for hours
