Came here once during our stay in the Sterling area. We would have come more often, but it's not open for dinner daily. It's a very nice, cosy Pub. Very friendly, cheerful staff. An nice and happy atmosphere. We got a nice table by the window. Our Bulldog was welcome as well. Got some beer and ordered some starters and mains. Had baked goat cheese and Haggis balls for starters. Both excellent choices. Nicely executed. For the mains we went for beef steak strips with chips and Bangers'n'Mash. Here again: Both great choices. The steak was nice and tender. Good grilled flavour. The bangers were wonderful - from a local butcher. Good stuff. The highlight were the delicious chips fries. I don't know how the cook does it, but these were probably the best fries we've ever had. Crunchy and crispy like we've never had before and inside hot and tender. Divine. Brillant chips. Prices are fair, staff was great. Food excellent. A perfect package. Loved it.
What a wonderful pub! I’ve been in a few times now, and every time we are greeted with a big smile and a warm welcome. Super dog-friendly as well!
There is something special about this unpretentious spacious pub. The place is filled with welcoming locals and their well behaved dogs. Good beers here.
This pub is absolutely incredible. We stopped on the way up to the Cairngorms for lunch and were blown away. Easily the best meal we've had in Scotland, the staff were so lovely and welcoming to our unruly children. We had the haggis bon bons, which were amazing and I had the pie with the most incredible chips. The kids sticky toffee pudding was large enough for us to taste and was out of this world. Even the came with the most delicious biscuits, which melted in the mouth. 10/10, looking forward to returning at the weekend on our way back!
Fantastic food. Steak is perfectly cooked, fries are amazing the the peppercorn sauce was particularly Good beer selections. Friendly staff. A must visit

Brilliant food! Excellent service and fantastic prices! The haggis and black pudding bonbons and the burger is amazing and the coleslaw is tremendous! Anyone stopping here needs to try the burger out delicious! Also the bonbon starter Great selection of beers and spirits available also
We recently went in to try the food…. Wow!!! The menu had a nice pub variety, our young kids ate also and had clean plates! Portion sizes were just excellent. Nothing too fancy just perfect for a local pub. Sandy was a great host and very attentive. It was a lovely atmosphere. Food was prompt, fresh, hot and delish. Table service was fantastic. Highly recommend having a meal at the foresters! Hats off to the chef and new management team! Great job guys!
Stopped in for food and drinks on our way back down South after a holiday in the highlands. Really friendly staff, amazing food best coleslaw ever?! local beers available as well as the classics. Will definitely be back next time we're in the area.
Fantastic wee place. Perfect balance of crisp, clean decor and properly traditional cosy pub. Could not ask for a more welcoming and customer friendly staff. Taken on by recent new management who seem genuinely vested in a great customer experience. Really nice location too. Weve been to tonnes of pubs and restaurants in and around the Stirling area, but if we had to pick just one to come back to it would probably be The Foresters Arms!
