Worst GP practice ive ever had the misfortune of being with. The reception staff are very condescending as well as their Admin Team leader. They get very defensive without even listening to your whole story. They interrupt you whilst speaking. They're also very loud in person, when they're meant to be discreet around other patients. Nothing is done in a timely fashion. There is no sense of urgency. They have to meet targets so they tell you to call back for an appointment within their target time frames. They also take ages to answer the phone even though you request a call back. They clearly need more staff and they clearly need to go on a customer care course. They use patronising language like calling you 'love' and 'darling', which I think is so unprofessional, and makes the situation worse when they cannot help either. The doctors ive dealt with are fine adn respectful. Sadly this practice is also only open 09:00 - 17:00, which makes it even more difficult when you need to have an appointment after work or even weekends. Unfortunately i had to leave the Heart of Hounlsow GP surgery due to moving house and wish i hadn't/ wish i had done more research on Ashford area before moving here.
My son feels this is the best doctor surgery he has had. He has been helped a lot in the few months he has been with them. The lady doctor he saw yesterday was brilliant, she listened to him and has helped him with the treatment he needs. They are hard to get on the phone. He has been cut off after waiting for the longest time also many times..that is bad. But apart from that, he thinks they are good doctors and the nurses have been brilliant
I am disappointed in Fordbridge Medical Centre. Time and time again I have been let down. At times dependant on who answers you are not treated like a person - morally - but instead you are treated like a number. It is impossible to get an appointment, compassion, or understanding. I have had to chase repeatedly, whether that be for an appointment or results. I understand how busy it is at the moment, but please implement other ways for patients to book; website does not always work, and then you are on the phone waiting for so long.
most useless doctors ever used, the front office is ram by sharon who is a complete rude non professional person. lost cancer medication, lost paper work and constantly sending letter to wrong adress after changing them 4 times over. disgusting behaviour and completely disrespectful, no shame at all not even an apology. sharon the office manger is completely rude and disrespectful and had no remorse for someone who’s been left in pain for 3 months due to your mess ups.
Another poorly run surgery. Sharon at the front desk likes to feel important so she takes pleasure in ruining their patients days with “I can’t help” Twice, I have seen patients screaming and calling the police because they have not received help. This an example of paying tax to useless staff that have no intention of doing anything but using the word “no”. I had 6 weeks of torture under their care and I would highly recommend staying far away from this place.
This practice went down the hill completely since a joined few years ago. Now it is impossible to call to get an appointment, they will keep you on hold for 30min and then the machine will hang up on you. They ask you to fill out a long online form and then they give you an appointment that is 3 weeks from today. It is tragic and it should be illegal, for practice like this to exist and operate!
We've been with the practice for well over a decade and it used to be the best surgery in town. Staff were friendly and approachable and you were always able to see a doctor within 48hrs of needing an appointment. Over the last year things have gotten so much worse with trying to access any type of healthcare. Receptionist hate it if you walk in to ask for help and tell you that it has to be done online, which would be great but their online request an appointment form opens at 8am and by 8:04 this morning it was closed as all appointments had been taken. So we tried phoning but as usual no-one wants to pick up the phone and we are still waiting for anyone to 'call back'. Excuses range from we are a doctor down, we only have one doctor or the best I can do is send you to ashford hospital for the health clinic where a doctor will see you. I know some still think they are doing good but honestly its easier to sit in the walk in centre to be seen than attempt to visit the local GP. Too many patients on their books and not enough staff to cope with demand. It is a real shame and i honestly hope they try to listen to their patients and improve service before taking on anymore. We are currently looking to switch GPs to someone we can actually see when needed.
They refuse to give an appointment over the phone and tell you to fill out an online form which then just tells you to ring the surgery to make an appointment. Awful system!
Doctors are good when you can get to them but reception staff could be more helpful and the online booking system doesnt work. So how the heck do you book an appointment???
Takes far to long to get through to reception and appointments readily not available under 3 weeks . Since my last post , this surgery has gone even further downhill. This surgery should have zero stars and not one. Its amazing that when you go there , their waiting room is literally empty and yet they never have any appointments !
