I should have read the reviews before booking with this car park. Left my car for a week to find out mud on the front seats, over the middle console between the seats and small stones stuck under the parking selector preventing it from properly settling into it's nest therefore a fault was on the dashboard. Obviously a staff member had gone to the driver's seat through the passenger door with their muddy shoes. I requested to speak to a manager but was told that the manager was not available and they can only apologise. I insisted to fill out a complain form and I was given a blank sheet of paper then I was told they would give me a call on the next day which never happened. I will never use this place to park up my car again.
Absolutely appalling experience with this airport car park.nWe returned from our holiday to find our vehicle damaged after being left in their care. Rather than taking responsibility or properly investigating the matter, the company immediately denied liability and showed little interest in resolving the issue fairly.nThe most frustrating part has been the attitude and lack of accountability. Customers leave their vehicles expecting them to be kept safe and treated with care, yet when something goes wrong, this company appears more focused on avoiding responsibility than helping paying customers.nWe have photographs and evidence showing the condition of the vehicle, and we are now having to pursue the matter further ourselves.nI would strongly recommend anyone using this company to take photos and videos of their vehicle before handing over the keys. Based on our experience, I would never use this service again! AVOID!
Have used Flying Scot for many years and have always received first class service from the company, the staff at reception have always been efficient and welcoming, and the transfer to and from the airport, short though it is, is a pleasure and the drivers are only to happy to assist unloading heavy luggage.nWe are booked in for 2 weeks on Feb 2026 and expect nothing but the usual excellent service.
Low Cost, or is it holiday extras? Or is it flying Scot?… regardless, I had the worst airport parking experience experience of my life this past week. We booked through holidays extras, and the info provided was poor. We arrived and there was no one in the office, I spotted a space and parked in it, thinking we’d just need to jump on the bus and ANPR would do the rest. We were approached by an extremely rude staff member, with his arms out in a “what are you doing” motion. He protested that we should have parked in the “customer parking” bay and waited until someone came to the office. He then proceeded to tell me that I’d need to leave my car key, and they’d need to move it to another area, as his greedy boss had over booked the parking lot, and they’d need to shuffle things around. At one point during the exchange, where I remained calm and professional, he even told me I could take my car and park it elsewhere if I didn’t like it. All of this whilst I had already parked in a clearly marked parking bay from the offset… and let’s not forget, I had also already paid the £37.50 upfront for 5 days parking.nnIt gets worse. Due to several hold ups, the last of which was a 40 minute wait at the airport for their bus to show up, we ended up late back to our car. Not to worry though, I had added the late insurance to my booking with holiday extras. However, I learned today that this instance doesn’t count as holiday extras don’t own the car park? And if I wanted my car back I’d need to pay the £12. My car was essentially being held to ransom. We got charged an extra £12 for being late through no fault of our own. The employee I dealt with this morning wasn’t the same employee at drop off, but he was equally as rude as the first. I could tell this wasn’t his first time ripping someone off for a “late fee” that should have been covered by the “late pickup insurance” I purchased at the time of booking. I also noticed a scuff on my front wing that wasn’t there when I dropped the car off. I’m also convinced the car has less fuel than it had at drop off. The scuff looks like it might polish off, and I’m not willing to get into a battle with them. I simply don’t have the energy. I will however, never use this company or holiday extras again. I found them to be a shower of absolute cowboys, and it’s actually not that much more to park in the airport longstay itself. Avoid at all costs - and this is coming from a local who regularly uses Edinburgh airport.nnI wasn’t going to leave this review, as in reality it’s only £12, but then I wondered how many other people had a similar experience and thought the same. I figured I’d do my bit in the hope that some other airport revellers see this before making the mistake of using this parking company.
Great experience first time using this place. Smooth check in, guys were really helpful. They asked to park right outside their reception space so that they could park later in a space according to your booked dates. They give you a slip with a unique code. Shuttle buses run almost every 15 minutes in the morning to airport. It took us about 8 minutes to get right outside the terminal. On return, you need to call on their number and leave your surname and unique code, so that they can arrange to pick you up, bus arrived in 10 minutes after leaving the message. However I didn’t receive any confirmation after leaving the message- guess this is the only drawback if that counts- probably would be good to get a message back that they have received your request? Again it took only 6 minutes from airport to parking place. Instructions were clear re the lane they had parked my car, so again no issues finding the car. They hand you a slip with a code to exit- just press that four digit number on your exit in the machine. So overall great experience. I guess prices may differ but I paid 27 pounds for a day when booked through the website. You could also get car washed or valet perhaps. Optional service- They charge extra 10 pounds if you need to be immediately collected or dropped off.
