I had the worst combination of experiences at this airline. I was waiting by a screen in the lounge for the airline to post a departure gate. The screen said "wait in lounge" from the time I arrived. When the gate was posted, I walked to it immediately only to find that the monitor above the gate said "gate closed". There were no Flybe employees in sight. There were a few other people in the same situation as me and we had to wait two hours for airport security to escort us out of the terminal. When I spoke with a Flybe representative on the phone, he told me it was my fault that I wasn't at the gate in time, even though there was no gate info was available!? Later spoke with a flight attendant from this airline and was informed that it is quite common for Flybe to poorly inform customers via airline monitors. I will never fly with Flybe again as I am out £500 for flight and hotel I was unable to use, and the employees I dealt with were incredibly rude and offered zero assistance after inconveniencing me. Once I got back to my car in the parking lot, I found that I had to pay a full day (£35) for parking since security kept me waiting past the four hour mark.
