We stopped here whilst on a long walk, they were doing a Sunday BBQ and it was lovely. The beer was really nice, I understand that the Flower Pot is under new ownership and only opened the week before we attended, I wish them all success.Service: 5/5
Stopped here late morning after hiring a canoe and paddling up the Thames from our campsite. It's an old world pub with some real ales and a good selection of food. The service was great and the guys were really friendly. We stayed for lunch which was quick to be served and pretty good value. My only disappointment was that the rabbit pie had a really soft pastry like it had been reheated in a microwave, but it was still tasty and nice to have rabbit as an option. Plenty of space, both indoors and out. We wondered why there were a pile of small door mats by the door until a couple of locals came outside carrying them to put on the picnic bench to sit on. Obviously locals in the know. Saw several having sandwiches and baguettes that looked really good. Recommend as a stop on the river. About 5-10mins walk from the jetty.
Stopped here for lunch while on a river kayak trip from Moose down at Bisham Abby. Lovely pub, food selection was really good and service was great. Their grey parrot has a great whistling voice. Highly recommend going to this place.
A beautiful setting only a short walk from the Thames. Sitting in the garden on a sunny day or warm evening is very popular with families and walkers. Internally there is probably the most extensive collection of stuffed fish from bygone days in the country. It's unique!Location: 5/5
Superb traditional pub in a beautiful village location. Large pub garden with plenty of space if the weather is good or cosy bar area with a real wood fire. Serves some proper, well kept beers. Food menu looked good but didn't get the chance to sample it on this visit - will have to go back!
Superb location, delicious food, and an absolutely wonderful setting on the garden terrace! Food & drinks: Easter weekend, and second day in with the new menu, absolutely delicious and well worth the walk from Henley. Lovely hospitality from the staff, and we look forward to returning to try the mu Sunday roast!!
Took a walk from Hambledon Lock and discovered this little pub. Full of old world charm I love this sort of old-style country pub. I didn't eat here, just enjoyed a couple of beers in their expansive beer garden. Will definitely make an effort to get back here again as it was a very enjoyable couple of hours spent in. The afternoon sun.
Stopped off for some refreshments on walk along Thames path. Lovely garden and great staff. Good selection of beers on tap and lovely cider kicking goat very refreshing.
Disappointing food. The pub was fine as was the beer. The food on the other hand was not. We both ordered chicken curry and it was the strangest curry I have ever eaten. The chicken was somewhat sparse but the curry contained mixed vegetables!! Someone needs to have a word with the chef. Regrettably, will not be hurrying backService: 3/5
Lovely place. Nice and friendly staff. Lovely walk to pub, decent size outdoor area. No play area unfortunately but we've had no complaints when we've brought a bat and ball to play with the kidsService: 5/5
