This hidden gem is, quite simply, one of the finest bakery-cafes you will find for miles around Watford. While its location within an industrial estate—nestled among car repair shops and tile showrooms—might seem unexpected, do not let the surroundings fool you; this place is worth every penny and every minute of the journey.nnThe quality of the offerings is exceptional. They boast an impressive range of artisanal sourdough breads and delicate pastries that rival the best high street or Waitrose bakeries. Whether you are looking for a crusty, perfectly fermented loaf to take home or a flaky treat to enjoy on the spot, you won't be disappointed.nnThe atmosphere is welcoming yet industrial, though the popularity of the spot is undeniable. If you visit on a weekend, expect a wait as it is a local favorite. However, if you can swing a weekday visit, you will find it much more relaxed, with plenty of seating available. They offer both indoor and outdoor options, making it a great spot regardless of the weather.nnI have visited many times now, and each trip reinforces why it is my go-to. It is a true standout, and I will certainly be back again soon.
Come here whenever I can - the food and pastries are DIVINE!!! Actually decently priced too - and even though there’s always a line I can always get a table!! Love love love the reuben sandwich and Flourish breakfast!
Came here with 2 hungry kids, left with 2 hungry kids. Came here to be told when we were ordering by the very non bothered waitress that no pizza available not clear pizzeria closed as opening times under clipboard clip, sandwiches we wanted had run out, even a plain cookie wasnt available, but conveniently we could buy a whole bag of cookies. The waitress was unapologetic, and very unbothered.nnWhen the wedges we ordered came out, they were stacked in the smallest cup, dripping in oil - we were given sauce, but there was nowhere to dip the wedges. This place seems to care more about aesthetics and their social media.nnAt the till, I wasnt greeted with a smile or asked how it was, instead when I said it was disappointing I was told 'well it is near closing time' and 'weve just run out'. Very disappointing and paid £20 for the privilege of 2 watered down ice coffees, wedges in a cup and a pack of cookies! I'm sure service was non transparently added to this - I would have most definitely not paid this if so, because the service was extremely unfriendly and unprofessional.
Turned up, presented menus to order from and seated by a member of the team. Order then taken. At 1507hrs, the order taker returns to apologise the kitchen is closed for food, but pizza is available. They closed the kitchen at 1500hrs, business open until 1600hrs.nnFirst time visiting - sadly, customer experience / service poor... Couldn't really say the food was good or not though. Coffee was very pleasant, cookie and pain au chocolat both were average and not memorable. Set in an industrial estate, but ambience / decor is great. Wouldn't return simply based on attitude / experience.nnI asked the Manager why seated, provided all menus, not just given a pizza menu if the kitchen was closed or soon to be closing, and allowed to order... His response was more defective and nonchalant - while agreeing they could have done better, telling me the server was on their 2nd day and 16yrs of age sounds like a Manager problem and not a me problem. Don't blame your team around you, and maybe do a better job of investing in your new-hires, to ensure customer experience is 5 star, especially as there was no queue or people waiting ahead of me. Sadly, the all too frequent brush-off was the end result from the person who should have been setting the example. Shame.
Amongst the rough of a small Watford industrial estate, lies this little diamond.nService with a smile.nGreat atmosphere.nThe best eggs benedict I’ve ever had.
