Incredibly wonderful staff and service. Could not recommend more. Prices are decent for a good job. I came in to get my 3 piece suit done for that evening, they managed to do it in 3 hours and it was perfect. I left my shirt in the suit bag saying that it didn't need to be done, but they were very lovely and cleaned and ironed my shirt as well free of charge. Thank you 5 Star!!!
Amazing service. They tailored my trousers very well and I am very happy. I would recommend this dry cleaners store if you want to tailor your clothing.
See before and after pictures - my cat peed on my leather bag. I was gutted, called every bag-restoration service and cobbler as they deal with leather I could find. All told me no way the stain would come out, that I had made it worse by using soap and water on it. Bag restoration services quoted between £300-500 to have it re-dyed and cleaned, and even then, I would lose the original color. In a last ditch effort, borne out of desperation, I brought it to 5 Star. They said, leave with us, don’t worry. Three days later got a call to pick up - good as new!!! Lost absolutely no color at all, lost a bit of texture but that is to be expected after what it has gone through. I am so grateful. Cost a tiny fraction of what the bag services were quoting too.
I always use 5 star to clean wedding gowns. They always do a brilliant job and have a quick turn around time. Would recommend.
AVOID!! If I could give 0 stars… Took a brand new pair of £260 jeans here to get them shortened ever so slightly. The guy did a terrible rushed botched job which he seemed to be aware of saying he did it quickly and offered to redo them but when I returned the second time they looked exactly the same. He offered to redo them a 3rd time. I didn’t really trust him but was assured it would be better. Why not done properly the first time?? After the 3rd time I lost hope and trust in him knowing what he is doing. Too much fabric was cut off, wonky, and the stitching was wonky and tight and bunched. The bottom of my jeans now look cheap when they were an expensive pair. I was told if I brought them in a 4th time they’d be redone under supervision. I refused and wanted my formal complaint dealt with. I was advised the boss who could deal with my complaint wont be around for a month. I asked to be put in touch with them and was ignored. I now have a ruined pair of jeans which were brand new and expensive…
Avoid at all cost. Overcharges by a lot even for dry cleaning, does sloppy works and lies about the work done on the pieces. First time around he charged me 40 pounds for shortening a jeans. Second time around he over-charged me for a stiching job, did work on only one shoulder, even though I went to him a second to make sure he does it on both and lied during collection that he performed it on both side. Stay away, plenty other options in the area.
My friend a 74 year old woman left her cotton ordinary rucksack in to replace ONE broken zip She has obviously memory loss on the first stage of dementia … These people who work in there the older man took advantage of her memory loss and charged her £35 FOR A NEW Zip on a cheap rucksack …. This shop should be shut down This shop should be reported to the trading standards He charged her four times for the normal price PLEASE DON’T GO TO THIS SHOP
The name fits the quality of the service. I friend gave me a coat with grease stains that he thought unrecoverable and that he was going to throw away. I brought it in and it came back like new. The before and after difference was incredible, would highly recommend.
Super fast, seamless and efficient same day alteration when I needed it. Friendly service. Would recommend.
I bought an expensive new suit and had it tailored to fit perfectly. Upon the first time wearing it I got candle wax on the trousers and jacket. I was devastated, but they removed all the wax from the very fine fabric and it now looks perfect again! So grateful for the amazing job.
