It was fantastic value for money.  I was given a big room with on suite bathroom,  double bed.  The breakfasts were delicious.  The owners are welcoming,  friendly and really cared about service with a very personable presence.

Fantastic friendly place it's full of old world charm and that's not just the bricks and mortar. Couldn't do enough for you, views are amazing over the golf course and out to sea, surprising quiet too considering its on the main East coast road A92 .

Ill health meant an unexpected extended stay in Arbroath. We couldn't have gone to a better place than Five Gables - warm, comfortable and very homely with morning sun pouring in during Grace's  very generous breakfasts. The music was even from our homeland, New Zealand! Thank you for everything, Garry and Grace!

Very very pleased.  What more can I say.  Ron, the owner's Father was extremely helpful in our weekend stay.  Arriving late on Friday, my girlfriend Laura and I were very hungry indeed.  Knowing about the Tutties Neuk, Ron kindly ran us to the pub / restaurant at around half 8 so we could enjoy a nice meal and a little drink for the night of my 30th.  What a fantastic meal it was as well.  Both breakfasts at the Five Gables were brilliant.  You have the choice of quantities of 1, 2, or 3 of whatever you want, eg for those with large appetites 3 bacon, 3 sausage, 3 blackpudding, tomato, egg, toast, yoghurt, cereal.  Basically they accomodate you very well.  If you do struggle to eat everything, there are 4 Yorkshire Terrier scavengers willing to help.  On the morning of Saturday, Ron explained again the best way to walk into the town - a lovely 40 minute walk along the coast.  Ron was also the saviour again on Sunday morning - with Ron advising he regularly frequents the local Arbroath bootsale, Laura and I both went only to see him there.  I had left my jacket in the B&B, and he had came up looking for us.  All in all, service second to none.  You will be well looked after.  An excellent stay
