Lovely stay with comfortable clean and spacious room. We had food in the restaurant and it was really tasty and the portions were big, staff friendly and helpful. Would love to come back
The location was perfect for us, just at the end of the street we were staying on our holiday. The food was great, but the portions were massive, so bear in mind when you order. The girls who were serving were very friendly, welcoming, and smiling, which is rare nowadays.
Stayed here for 4 nights. Excellent location right by the town & seafront & theatre etc. Bed was super comfy, nice room design, lovely big walk in shower, good WiFi. I didn't eat here, but staff were nice enough when I did see them in passing. The pub is about 10 mins walk to the train station. Some nice walks in Arbroath & they are only a short distance from the hotel too. Local football stadium not far either. Slight drawbacks - some creaky floorboards elsewhere which woke me up a couple of mornings. Also, check in should be earlier than the 4pm currently, that's pretty late imo.nOn the whole though I had a really good stay here & would book again for sure.
The Old Brewhouse, Arbroath is situated right on the sea front and the views are superb. We were in the Signal Tower room and the accommodation was clean and spacious with a relaxing ambience. We ate dinner in the downstairs restaurant and the food was fresh, tasty and portions are generous. As you'd expect at the coast, the fish is delicious and the haddock and chips were a winner with us. We'd highly recommend an Arbroath Smokie for breakfast. The bar is well stocked with lots of whisky and gins to chose from and the staff are knowledgeable. We'd highly recommend The Old Brewhouse - accommodation was perfect, they're dog friendly and staff really make a big effort to make guests welcome - great place to stay and eat.
Our visit was for my wife to Try a Smokie.nI had the Chicken stuffed with Haggis.nOur plates were cold when the food was served which is poor as the food goes cold quicker as my wife is a slower eater.nThe Smokie and Chips and the Chicken with haggis were fine but the carrots were tasteless.nThe staff were very attentive and chatty.nTo be honest with the prices of the food we expected slightly better vegetables.nMy pint of Pepsi was £4.50 !! That, is extortionate a complete rip off. Lager was the same price.nWe will not return unless I stay on tap water.
