The Old Brewhouse, Arbroath is situated right on the sea front and the views are superb. We were in the Signal Tower room and the accommodation was clean and spacious with a relaxing ambience. We ate dinner in the downstairs restaurant and the food was fresh, tasty and portions are generous. As you'd expect at the coast, the fish is delicious and the haddock and chips were a winner with us. We'd highly recommend an Arbroath Smokie for breakfast. The bar is well stocked with lots of whisky and gins to chose from and the staff are knowledgeable. We'd highly recommend The Old Brewhouse - accommodation was perfect, they're dog friendly and staff really make a big effort to make guests welcome - great place to stay and eat.
We were warmly welcomed for lunch. Lots of menu choices. In the end we chose traditional fish n chips and steak pie. Both meals arrived quite quickly. Food was delicious and generous portion sizes. Luckily for us, the place was dog friendly and the waitress kindly brought Barony a water bowl and a dish of chicken too! Before leaving we visited the toilets and were blown away by the cleanliness and freshness of the facilities. Plenty of pubs and restaurants take note...clean toilets do matter. Overall we would highly recommend this restaurant / pub.
Visited here for a bite to eat with our dog, who was made to feel very welcome, fresh water and a bowl of chicken from the kitchen!nThe service/staff here were top notch! Really friendly and accommodating, genuinely so, so nice.
Excellent room, excellent meals, all fresh on the day. I had Haddock, more like a whale size, freshly cooked and cooked. The sweets are yo die for.nLovely harnour location and ideal for town or a walk along the seashore.nHighly recommended
I have been a couple of times for lunch - always agood experience. This was my first time going for dinner. We were a group of 6 - friends over from France who absolutely loved the smokie crepe and clootie dumpling.nGreat menu, atmosphere, delicious food and absolutely brilliant service. Our waitrose was so friendly and helpful.nWill definitely be back.
