Five Bridges - Marstons
"A warm welcome is in store at The Five Bridges in Kent—a proper family-friendly pub on the Isle of Sheppey. Just a few hundred metres from the banks of the Swale, and yards from the end of Queenborough Creek, we’re a great place to eat out come rain or shine. When the sun’s out, our patio area is the perfect spot for lunch or dinner, and the outdoor children’s play area is always a favourite with our younger guests. Indoors, we have a toddler activity area, and plenty of space for families enjoying our great pub food and traditional carvery."

Really lovely meal, very nice atmosphere and very friendly staff. Very clean and decorated nicely. Lovely little pub garden too prices were slightly higher than expected, however very large portions, nicely cooked food although the carvery veg was a little dry so as were the Yorkshire puddings but the chef replaced the ones out for fresh as soon as she noticed and they were delicious!
The food exceeded my expectations. Due to the low prices of the food, I wasn't expecting much however, to my surprise the food was perfectly cooked to a high standard and we enjoyed every bit of it, even the desserts and there were lots to choose from too! Would highly recommend this pub, staff are friendly and it's a lovely atmosphere.
Dirty floor and seats. Fizzy drink was flat. Had to ask for our own cutlery. Had to ask for the gravy that came with the meal. BBQ chicken burger? Judging by the little amount in the burger they must of been running low it looked like a frozen southern fried chicken steak from Iceland opposite. We spoke with the manager to be told we have been very busy today LOL
Overall a very pleasant and enjoyable experience. Our cutlery and glasses where rather clean which is good to see, the overall layout is visually pleasing, yet simple enough to navigate with ease, and the environment was very relaxed and down to earth, with friendly staff and well balanced music! The food we ordered was for the most part exceptional, of which being the hunters chicken £8.25, which was quite possibly the best balance of flavours I've experienced in a while, the sausage and mash £8.25 which was a good portion size with a slight exclusion of the mash, which was a bit small, but the sausages where nice and tender with no fat or grissle, and the cowboy burger £11, which had a nice size and flavour, while being pretty juicy with a good portion of fries! The deserts both the tart and crownie served with a scoop of ice cream and a drizzle of chocolate sauce we ordered where the chocolate praline tart £5, which was a nice smooth, yet nutty texture and flavour, the chocolate crownie £5.75 which was basically a chocolate lava cake with a cookie dough crust, which was served nice and warm, being creamy and sweet, but not overwhelming. The only thing that was a small flaw was the wait of about 40 minutes, but in the end it was all worthwhile for the very fairly priced, filling meal, aswell as the friendly staff and overall clean environment! Overall I'd rate this experience a 4.6/5 and highly recommended, as we will definitely be returning!
We went in for Friday lunch time. We were served by Sonia who made us feel so welcome. I'd employ her over and over again! The food was great and the atmosphere was lovely. Importantly the rest rooms were spotless which is so important to me. Nothing worse than the Thank you to all the staff there who contributed to a nice time out for us.
We visited whilst on our holiday, they had a gluten free menu which had lots of choice and the food was delicious. A lady called Sonia looked after us during our visit, she was so lovely, very welcoming and nothing was too much trouble, thank you Sonia. If we find ourselves back that way again we will definitely be back!
We had a lovely time at 5 bridges today. A lovely warm atmosphere albeit busy. our server Sonia was rush off her feet and yet still had time to make us feel welcome. We had the new cocktails which were lovely and we will definitely be back
My colleague and myself both car transporter drivers, parked up in queenborough decided on a spot of food and a pint in the five bridges, I had cod and chips, and I was pleasantly impressed, food was perfectly cooked, a good size piece of cod too. The waitress was spot on too, chatty with a good sense of humour. I left feeling very full, just what I needed. All in all a very pleasant experience, keep up the good work guys. Will definitely visit again. Thanks.
Had a good burger here, when the place seemed to be abuzz with folk having their Sunday lunch. Whilst a considerable amount of mainstream beers these were pleasant enough and for all tastes. Served by Hannah, the meals were great.
Had a lovely lunch here today, our server Alison was a lovely young lady who was busy but always smiling and happy to help us with the fussy eaters, the restaurant is a welcoming and clean establishment, great value for money and will definitely be dinning again here. Thank you for making our visit enjoyable.
