We ate here a couple of times while staying in the village on holiday.nThey have some vegan options on the menu. The food was pub grub style. I would recommend trying the salad bar as it has a great spread including pickles, nuts, vegan dressings, etc.nThere is a lot of seating indoors.nI think it caters for a large variety of customers with different tastes quite well. The chips have a fish and chips shop style rather than restaurant style.nIn terms of beer I had a session IPA from a large brewery which was pleasant enough and tried a beer on cask too which wasn't to my taste, more beer options would've be nice.
Been going to this fabulous venue for many years. We love the food, the atmosphere and location. It's dog friendly, if you want to take your furry family friend. Given that it's a 180 mile round trip for us, that tells you how good we think it is prices are quite reasonable too. Looking forward to our next visit - try it, you won't be disappointed
Visited here for lunch with my husband and our baby in a pram. The food was ok, I had fish and chips and thought the fish tasted nice and fresh but in contrast the chips were not nice quality and tasted very oily. We sat outside which was very pretty but very tight and the benches are extremely close so it wasn’t the best experience for us with our baby. Service was very friendly.
Been visiting for years. Food and drink is always to a good standard, food has improved a lot recently it used to taste somewhat frozen and reheated on some occasions, it no longer does.nnHandy location and a lovely place to pop in before or after a visit to the beach for either a drink or a meal. Meals are hearty pub food, they won’t be winning any Michelin stars but it’s what you’d expect from a local pub.nnStaff are always nice and friendly, drinks are reasonably priced, food is possibly on the *slightly* pricier side but as they have a monopoly on food within the village this is expected and not an issue.nnSpacious car park and plenty of on road parking nearby. Five to ten minute walk from the beach, which is well worth a visit to try and spot some seals and to have some fun with the sand if you have little ones.nnPub and beach are both dog friendly all areas within the pub and they keep doggy treats for visitors along with water bowls around the premises.nnIt’s a must visit for a trip to Winterton if for a rest break if nothing else.nnThere is accommodation available but I can’t comment on this as I’ve never used it.
Lovely atmosphere, very friendly staff and great food! As a table of 8 + 2 dogs! we managed to all order different meals and all of them arrived promptly, hot and delicious! Thank you
