The fish haddock was very good. Nice light and crispy batter. Perfect amount of salt and vinegar. Scampi was also very good.nnFood was fresh but service was quick.nnWould have liked a few more chips but maybe I'm just greedy....
For the first time in a long time I had nice fish and chips near to the sea! I am always disappointed when visiting chip shops near the coast and wasn't expecting much but I was pleasantly surprised. The fish tasted fresh and was well cooked, the calamari was very tasty and the scampi was lovely. The kids had nuggets and fish cake which they both devoured Unusual for my 2 and the wife thoroughly enjoyed her fish special.
Excellent service and food. Cod and chips with sauce. Massive queue. Served within 15 minutes.
Food was tasty, warm, freshly prepared. While eating downstairs, been told I cannot be given a normal fork as I had takeaway option restaurant was full at time of order ... Using wooden cutlery to eat fish was a real challenge due to its size and shape please see picture. I am just wondering why staff did not offer to take a refund able deposit in cash for cutlery and letting customers enjoy their meal?nUnfortunately, will not be back again.
Got Fish only. Costed me around 6 pounds.nnThe fish was really delicious and I can say it is straight out of water. The batter was crunchy and tasted wonderful. The quantity was also worth the cost.nnThe ambience was very vintage and gave me a vibe of eating inside a fisherman house.
