Only restaurant we visited twice in our short trip to Ireland. Absolutely phenomenal! Easy to get to. Fantastic atmosphere. Our server Owen took the time to help prioritize places to see AND a map. Service was top-notch even though the place was packed at lunch time. I had ASTONISHINGLY delicious pan-fried hake special with new potatoes, green beans and the best coleslaw ever. Merlot and pinot grigio on tap as well as excellent coffee options and hand made shakes. The smokey Irish beef burger had a sauce that elevated it to a whole new level of WOW. Make sure you get the garlic sauce with your chips. The daily fish and chips lunch special is going to be some of the best you'll find, and it comes with an ice cream for a very affordable price.
We just stopped there on the way home as we were driving already 2 hours. We wanted to eat quickly and go. We waited 20-25min for the 4 portions. There was only 2 waiters . I had fish and chips and sea food pasta. And fish fingers for children. Food was only ok. No salt or spices on the food. Children said that fish was tasteless.

Wonderful. I attended with my wife and daughter. The waiter was very friendly and helpful. The food was very tasty. I don't like a lot the curry, but this was wonderful. My daughter wanted a mint shake and it was huge. Great food quality and people is very friendly.
Fish was excellent. The menu had a variety of options from fish and chips, burgers, pasta with seafood, salads, surf and turf, milkshakes, and much much more. The restaurant was super clean and a warm, friendly environment. The fish is very fresh and they make the best efforts to source locally several people - waiter, taxi driver, coworkers - have corroborated this for me. The staff was extremely helpful and courteous. Top notch service. Waiter fetched a newspaper for a neighboring table upon request, tipped off another table where they could grab a cold beer and bring in for their meal, and grabbed a map of the city for me and drew out recommendations for things to see, places to visit. Another table in at the same time as I was eating there for a second night in a row they enjoyed it so much. There is also have a takeaway door with a huge menu selection that I have found enjoyable. Being new to the city I force myself to try other places, but this has been my favorite thus far and I can’t resist going back!
Love this place, good food, good atmosphere and excellent service, if you are in Kilkenny, I recommend to try it, not expensive at all!
My first time at Fish Face but definitely not my last. Lovely surroundings. Well decorated. Pleasant and friendly staff. Food was outstanding, so fresh and tasty. Definitely a must do if your in Kilkenny. Highly recomend. I hear their takeout is as wonderful.
The perfect place to grab a quick and tasty lunch. The interior is very nice and creates a cosy atmosphere. The staff was super friendly. I had the fish and chips which was delicious and would definitely recommend it.
Good haddock as well as cod fish and chips. No beer served but a decent choice of wines. Clean, spacious and friendly service. Good take out menu. Fresh fish.
