Visiting town on a tour and had some time to explore and came across this gem. Really good pretzels, and the cookie was really big and delicious too. I stopped in for a quick snack, and it was great. Lots of options available here, reasonable prices, and very clean and well kept. Service was great, the guy working was very patient for everyone in our group to pick what they wanted. I would definitely go back

Lots of soft and delicious pretzel options, including vegan, for a great low price. They had some hot things like calzones too. Very quick service.

This is the flavour experience I needed! I grew up near Manhattan, where on a cold winters day the Pretzel and Hotdog vendors were always a welcome sight.. this exceeded my expectations! I want to try everything!  Simple coffee house eatery with Pretzels, Pizza and  Calzones... the kids loved it!

Every time I'm in Kilkenny, I can't afford to skip this place! The treats and hot food are amazing, especially the ham and cheese bake!

*Speaking only on the Market Cross Shopping Centre branch in Kilkenny* I've gone in here a couple of times for a white chocolate coated pretzel and coming back with 1 or 2 more goodies. The staff are quick to ask for your order without greeting but very impatient and quite rude. I've met two or three different shop assistants and all encounters were quite bad. Yesterday, I was ushered to put in my card pin after taking out my phone to get the pin because it is new. Before this, she took my card from me to put it in the machine herself which was odd. My pretzel was half-burnt with some of the white chocolate melted off. Regardless, I thanked her for the order to which she walked away without word. The nutella and marshmallow pastry was flavourless and crumbled everywhere. I do often enjoy their pretzels but yesterday it was bad, it tasted as though it had cinnamon on it which I think was down to it being burnt. I'll be avoiding this shop from now on as it seems it wasn't just a once-off bad shopping experience but a regular occurrence regardless of who is in charge that day.

I've loved and supported Stephan's Pretzel shop ever since it first opened in Market Cross shopping centre. Now, I am delighted to witness the opening of this new beautiful, expanded premises and the amazing growth of a wonderful business.  In a world of ubiquitous multi-national franchises saturating our cities and highstreets, it is so refreshing to see an independent business like Stephan's beat the odds and thrive. I implore you as a local or a tourist of Kilkenny, to not miss out on the opportunity to truly experience something special and indulge in the vast array of delicious pretzels, calzones, pizzas, pastries and out of this world roast potatoes  all while enjoying a latte or tea if you like!

I've been going to this place ever since they were located in the smaller shops in market cross, and they're still amazing after all these years.their pretzels are cheap and have a signature taste, and while they aren't as big as the lidl pretzels and everything, the taste is definitely the best part. not super sweet, but not sour. if you want a snack in market cross, Stephens pretzels is not only the least expensive, its also the best.

I have been there multiple times and I always tried out something new and was never disappointed. The prezels are very well made and the huge variety of bretzels makes you come back for more. I also like that there are salty and sweet pretzels. The prices are cheap
