I purchased a car from Robert back in September 2018, the vehicle was described as "registered as having none structural damage", but had been told it had "all been sorted". On the face of it the vehicle was clean and the alloy wheels needed a refurb. I purchased the extended warranty just for piece of mind and after being told that the original ad of 6 months free was in fact an error on an employee's behalf and wouldn't be offered. Having decided to buy the car I was told it would be cleaned and valeted ready for pick up, on the day of pick up the interior hadn't been cleaned, but it had been washed over. I picked up the car and proceeded to drive home. After a couple of days of use the car kept flashing up a TPMS tyre pressure warning. After getting it checked by an independent tyre garage they said the Alloy wheel was bent. I called Robert to explain and after some negotiation he agreed to send over the money to get the alloy refurbed, I choose whilst the car was in the garage to get the other 3 wheels done at the same time and new tyres all round, having now replaced TPMS sensors the issue still isn't resolved, but at least the wheel was straightened and required welding twice. Rolling on a few months just after the warranty expired an "Engine Malfunction Light appeared", having tried to call Robert a few times the phone either rang on or just answerphone. Having spoken to a garage and getting the fault read it was a DPF issue, having paid for a DPF forced re-gen the issue still appears, I only do the odd short journey and when this warning pops up the car goes into limp mode. During this time the cars ODB port was playing up and looked to have been damaged during some sort of repair effort for what I can only assume were air bags or dashboard replacement. Whilst cleaning the car I noticed a hairline split just under the passenger side headlight, thinking nothing of this at the time. This week I decided to get a few bits of paint sorted around the car to tidy it up, the spray shop called me this morning to ask if the car had been in an accident? I replied yes, but the dealership had told me that is was all sorted. The guy laughed and proceeded to explain that the bumper had been badly repaired, the headlight bracket was broken leaving it flapping about, there were 2 inch self tapping screws holding the bumper into the crash bar and the crash bar looks to be badly damaged. All in all this car hasn't been repaired and i'm now looking to pursue this garage for a Final rejection under the consumer credit act section 75. It might have taken some time to see this, but i've had nothing but issues with this car from day one and the original MOT must have been dodgy as no one would've passed this with the problems highlighted above.
Very very unprofessional and rude , made an appointment to see the car and cancelled work for the day, on the way to the dealer got a message the car got sold yesterday , never answers phone calls and when he does is super rude . Find your car somewhere else
I can’t praise Rob enough. He bent over backwards to help me to buy my car yesterday. No hard sell, no messing around, just an honest decent bloke who made me feel very comfortable. He even came with me to test drive the car because I was unfamiliar with the area and he knew we’d had a long stressful drive to get there. Despite the drive I would have no hesitation in buying a car from him again. Highly recommended. Thanks Rob!
I had a terrible experience with this dealer. I went to see a car and liked it. The dealer asked me to pay a deposit of GBP 150 and pick up the car next day at 11. I went there on time and stood in the cold for 40 minutes with my 3 year old but there was no sign of the dealer at the shop. No response to my calls or text messages. I got a call in the evening asking me to come over next day. Worried about the reliability of the dealer, i had a another look at the car. The car was showing 'SRS - Restraint system malfunction' light. He promised me to refund the deposit if i didn't like the car. I gave him my bank account. It's been more than 2 week but there is no sign of refund even after many calls and text messages. Mate, hope you enjoy my money
Unfortunately Robert is the most unreliable salesman I've ever met. What appears to be a genuine bloke with lots of promising smiles on the surface is filled with deceit. The test drive was fine and he was a nice guy when driving around asking lots of questions of me and my life. However he promised to buy me a new key for the car after purchase. The key I was given was essentially a fake and not the proper cut. When he said he would get me a new one it seemed fine and he would sort it. A month of ignoring my phone calls and blocking me only prevailed when I began to call him as a hidden number. When I got through to him he again agreed to buy the key. After hundreds of missed calls and dozens of ignored texts. I sorted it myself.... It has now cost me £800 to service the car on which I assume he had a dodgy MOT done on the car. It was also £270 for the new key Robs business philosophy will catch up with him but I won't be there to witness it. Try your best to avoid buying from him as you do not know what you are going to get. For Rob, I wish you the best and I hope that I will be the last that you undermine. MERRY CHRISTMAS
Dishonest 25 Nov 2020 The owner sent the car to me uncleaned, large scratch on rear, fuel filler flap not working I have to use a screwdriver to prize it open. He promised to pay for repair if I got a quote. So I paid £85 for a valet he gave me £20. I ran around to get a price for repair on filler flap and sent it to him, he promised to sort it but he now ignores all my calls and texts. On top of all this despite numerous requests he has given me no details of his advertised 3 month warranty.
Rob nice and polite to start with made the sale then 30calls and 10 texts later no answer to any, still got problems with the car,I think he's blocked me,won't go there again
Such a shame, started out so well. My son found his perfect car, having saved up for ages, Rob was a true gentleman and salesman. The transaction was smooth and agreed to pick the car up the following week after some cosmetic works to the car and general tidy up, sadly when picking the car up the following week there was an additional dent so it had to go back to the work shop for repair. In between requested full details of the "full service history" that was stated while the car was advertised, it didn't come with any at all. After some investigation work found the lease company that first had the car and managed to get 3 years worth of history. Spoke with Rob and he said he had the additional history "at the farm", requested this to be sent to me, sent him details where to send it...never arrived. The tried to call Rob 6 times, left 2 voice messages including 2 emails ...nothing. Really feel let down and he prided himself at the time of sale on customer service. I really didn't want to leave negative feed back but absolutely no curtesy at all in replying to me given that its been over 5 weeks on radio silence. Since my son has bought the car we have had the car in the garage twice with several issues including an issue with the DPF which the garage has identified that the error code was rest so this wouldn't show up at the time of sale - amazing what diagnostics can pick up. Really feel let down, not as much as my son.
Do not buy a car from this dealer. I have waited 6 months to place my review due to our ongoing complaint with the financial ombudsman and trading standards. Rob as he calls himself sold us a car that went wrong within 9 weeks of purchase. We contacted him to discuss this under the 3 months warranty that he told we had at purchase and we were told we needed to prove the fault existed before hand. We then went and paid for a diagnostic out of our own pocket. To cut a long story short the car had an ecu failure at a cost of £1200 just for part. Rob even spoke to the bmw agent whom we got to call Rob to discuss the fault on a recorded line and told him he would not help and for us to take him to court. He even said that if we did take him to court he would just close down and open under another name. Now is this the words of a reputable dealer? I think not and we are leaving it for trading standards to decide upon. My only commet is the same as the start. DO NOT BUY A CAR FROM THIS DEALER.
My son purchased a Range Rover from this so called company this vehicle had just been put through the mot we were told it had been serviced this car is what my son had always wanted and he was so happy with what he was told about it. After a week he had to replace the brakes and the number plates which were wrong then one week later the car is in a garage the car will not start it has had new diesel pumps on still will not start the onboard computer shows no faults so we think this will need replacing it's going to cost him a small fortune to get it sorted they will not answer the phone to him or his wife. This is now going to the motor trade Ombudsman.
