Still new work in progress very cold today but loved it view's are great.
The area is overgrown and rundown. The pond is all drying up. There are new houses being built around that area so I dont know what will happen to it. You cannot get to the promenade either as it is all blocked off due to heavy machinery being used. It used to be so lovely.
Nice, medium-sized park with some pretty smaller lakes, also next to the waterfront, on the river side. :
Amazing little park. Took my 3 year old son and he loved it. Very clean and well looked after.
Big car park plenty of room, leads to a huge park woodlands grassed areas, used to have a Japanese garden water features water fall japenese outhouses none of which have been kept up, japenese garden now just weeds, massive waste used to be lovely not so much anymore. Still a nice walk round the gardens just not what it was
A shadow of its former self, but now the Friends of the Festival Gardens are slowly restoring it. Nice place for walking the dog or a bike ride.
Loved this place. Great place for the dog and the grandchildren. Plenty of open spaces. What would make it perfect would be a place to get drinks and ice cream.
Nice area for a quiet walk. Does have a small play area, ponds, walking trail. A lot of it is still closed off as it is being done up
Great place to walk and soak up the history of the Festival Gardens. Free parking, always a plus point. You can just imagine the gardens with thousands of visitors trudging along the walkways. Its a great place to just sit and watch the world go by. Or you can follow the path down to the Embankment and walk for miles along the Mersey. The gardens should look great once more once all the refurbishment work is complete. We certainly will be back.
Always peaceful, a great place to visit the main building has beautiful paintings under the roof. Keep an eye out for the heron that goes there
