Very rarely need to see a GP but due to Covid19 and NHS cuts this practice is not as good as it used to be. I have been bombarded with text messages about blood pressure results and emailed surgery to be advised to call them. Message on the phone advises that they do not address admin, am I going round in circles. When you do call and hear all the messages, the phone still rings after 20 minutes. Where has our NHS gone and why do we have to pay in our contributions for a poor service and one that's occasionally used.
The best surgery ever ! Especially Dr Meeta Duggal is so understanding and compassionate towards the patients. Immediate actions always rendered and highly professional. SO grateful for all the assistance. God bless !
Ive been 2ce for about 8 years. Been only when need it really antibiotics. What Mrs Doctor did? Click all of my answer to computer and read it to me..... yea... thats take around 3 weeks to fell better... Joke. Did receive any help.I almost died!!!... If I could would stop paying my taxes for that help and used only privat service... Cant say anythink possitive for this place. ..
Incompetent reception staff. They gave me blood test information for another patient. I filled out form for online services , have not received username and password . Reception staff rude and unhelpful. Merry Christmas
I have been with Fernville surgery over 10yrs now. The Doctors and Nurses are so understanding. Dr Duggal is always professional and compassionate. The office staff are great too and manage well, under the pressures. Please be patient, they all do a great job. Thank you!
Don't ask any questions :-/ I called yesterday for an emergency prescription my own fault for miscounting my tablets for when I travel. Lady yesterday sent a message to my GP asking for this to be sent to the pharmacy electronically. Called today and spoke to a lady called Sharon. The phone call started off fine. I explained that I had requested a prescription be sent to the pharmacy and I wanted to check this was all done. Unfortunately it was not as the doctor was not in yesterday. I asked if it could be done today, this is very urgent as I am due to travel soon. Sharon stated 'well it's fine you have plenty of time you aren't going until Friday' in a very curt tone. I explained I am travelling early hours of the morning on Thursday so would need the tablets Wednesday - which is tomorrow - silence. I asked if the doctor will be able to get this done today - 'well I don't know - SHE'S IN A MEETING' - I wish there was a way to convey that tone. I was worried at this point so asked, will my prescription go through automatically or do I need to physically take it from the reception desk to the pharmacy. I have had to do this many times despite having a note that it should be done electronically. audible eye roll and huff from her WE HAVE NOTE?. Yes I know you have a note but it does not always work out that way. WE HAVE A NOTE? Could you add a note you are making to the doctor to say that it needs to go through electronically? urghhh. Yes that's done *Click* the phone was disconnected. Called back to make an appointment that I had also wanted to make. Got this done and asked to speak to the manager. Just really wanted to understand why I was disconnected on and why she was so put out. Unfortunately calls are conveniently not recorded so you can not call people out for talking to you like this or hanging up on you. Mandy I was advised is the manager. She took over the call asked a few questions I explained what had gone on to which she responded 'its all fine its all done'. Yes I am sure it is but is was like pulling teeth. I am more concerned with the uphill battle I have just experienced. Was told she would call back after speaking with Sharon. Sharon apparently stated that my asking her if this would be done today was too much as she felt like she had done everything she could. she didn't, I had to push for the note or for any other information. I stated that I only asked this once as above. 'OH so you didn't ask any other questions' very sarcastic because I believe she felt she had 'caught me out'. Nope I said, I asked a number of questions as I am concerned that this will not be sorted in time. Is that not OK? I was not aware questions were not allowed? Mandy stated this was condescending - I reminded her of her sarcastic tone above. I have worked in customer service for over 10yrs NEVER is it OK to hang up on a caller who is not shouting, swearing or threatening you. Mandy felt Sharon's response was perfectly acceptable though so it's all good.
I had an online appointment with Dr Joe Gerson and my husband also had an on line appointment with him a few weeks ago he is like a breath of fresh air - Such a gentleman takes the time to listen and come up with solutions
Absolutely disgusted with this surgery. I’ve just moved to Hemel Hempstead and they’ve made it as difficult as possible to register. Demanding paperwork to prove my address - I didn’t have anything with my new address on! Grateful my bank was helpful in that respect! Originally was told that because I’ve moved in with my boyfriend they would use a confirmation with his address on as it’s the same - promptly refused to accept this when provided. Again, glad my bank helped me. Now I have to wait a week for them to get me on the system!! A WEEK!! Couldn’t care less that I need to see a doctor asap to get my prescription renewed! I have two days of meds left! Absolute disgrace. Total lack of empathy or care. Can’t register at a different doctors as not in the ‘catchment area’. Not looking forward to being with these guys at all!
They don't care about ADHD referrals - so good luck trying.
I have been with this practice for nearly , 50 years and always had total respect for them but sorry not anymore. Very sad as used to be great practice with very caring doctors .
