We'd visited this pub previously and enjoyed a few beers and food. We returned last week but unfortunately our experience this time wasn't as pleasant. The bar area was fine and the drinks served in a friendly manner. The problem was the toilets, the mens had a leak and the stench was awful, my wife commented that the ladies was similar and didn't look like they had been cleaned. We left soon after. A shame because apart from this we had enjoyed the visit.
Disappointing range of beers yesterday regarding strength - topped out at ca 3.6% - not usually as grim as that considering it was early evening. We called back for drinks after eating elsewhere. Coffee was requested but was told it was not available when it was busy; - including us, there were no more than 25 people in the place at that time - shades of 'McFlurry machine broken again mate' and just could not be bothered.
Just been to the golden ball and met Jon who was a good laugh and service was top notch
Jon at the golden ball needs a mention what a friendly welcoming guy he is. Its not often you come across a bar person that as you walk through the door he makes you want to stay. He needs to be noted for the person he is. Well done Jon
Great nice little cosy pub me and my partner came here for food and drinks lovely staff very friendly and welcoming. Food was lovely we will be back
Fantastic pub in Poulton. They have great food good selection of drinks and enough TV's if you want to watch the match. Staff are great and would definitely recommend
Lovely meal for us both, good quick service, friendly staff.
Food was shocking tbh, the bun had shriveled up and was stale, the chicken burger was burnt and rock hard. Pizza had what i think was pesto all over it which made what was a good pizza taste pretty bad.
Decent cask offerings and food was very good too.
A great little place for pub grub served with a smile & efficiency...I tried the new jerk ribs & chicken very tasty
