First time visiting and we ordered breakfast. Can highly recommend the eggs benedict on sourdough and pancakes with berries. Both were absolutely delicious. Great quality ingredients and very reasonably priced. Great service and atmosphere, too. Will definitely return.
I love this place! Often go on a Sunday to enjoy the roast dinner, or very good steaks. Me and my fiancé went for a date night on a Saturday and once again although they were busy the service was excellent, staff took time to chat and make sure you were happy with everything. Food is always to excellent standard, I highly recommend this restaurant!nMain Course was Pan Seared Chicken with Mushroom Risotto and Baby Veg. Dessert was Raspberry and White Chocolate Blondie.
We had a weekend celebrating our fathers 75th birthday and booked Fennel for the Sunday roast following reading the reviews and the restaurant website.nnFrom the moment we arrived to the moment we left the welcome and service was impeccable . Lovely hosts and staff who couldn't do enough.nnIf we thought the welcome was good the food was even better . Really high quality and accommodated everyone's needs. We had a good selection of the starters which were superb. The mains the party was split between the Sunday roast and steaks with some having the roast and others having steak. The kids meal choices were also great wavlue and a good size portion see photos .nnWe will definitely be back as everything was amazing and we were all that full we couldn't manage a dessert.nnThanks again for an outstanding experience and high quality food .
We dropped by here for a late Saturday lunch and were lucky to get a table. The place looks great and the food was tasty. However when I asked about what beers they have, the waiter was adamant that lager is not beer, which is obviously not true. Also, if you're going to hand out little feedback cards, then you should also hand out pens to write on them with. So for these 2 last things, -1 star, but it was a good experience and we'd consider coming back whenever we're in the area again.
The restaurant had a lovely atmosphere and the staff were both professional and welcoming from the outset. The quality of the food was excellent. Special mention for the french fried onions and the bread and butter pudding Great experience from start to finish and I would highly recommend
