Absolutely delicious haddock and chips and a delightful selection of non alcoholic mocktails. Stunning views from every window and lovely staff serving the diners. This was my first visit, on the recommendation of a regular diner, and I will certainly revisit the restaurant whenever I am in Aberdeen
Fantastic menu and delicious food. Great views from the dining room and cool to watch the ships sailing past. The crab straw fries are superb - star of the show!
Overpriced and disappointing, popular restaurant resting on their laurels. I've been there three times. This time we ordered a starter and the full house platter for 75£ and it was simply disappointing, looks abundant by description on the menu but turns out half of the platter is shell, ice, and sauces we didnt use. The icy water was getting into our salmon. The starter was tiny, cold, and the "gazpacho" it was supposed to have was finely diced raw veg - like one tablespoon of it. Not what you expect. You do end up asking what you're paying for. The worst thing is that the waitress said she "can do nothing about the food"? She took our wine off the bill but could do nothing about the food? Does it mean you can't get a refund if there is a problem with the food? If so, this is very wrong and the owner needs to take responsibility. It's the worst when restaurants like this get used to being fully booked and lose focus on their service. I won't be back.
Lovely place. Good selection of delicious fish dishes, plus some meat and veggie options. Staff are very friendly and accommodating. Make sure you book as it gets very busy in the evenings. Vegetarian options: Chana masala burger
The views, food, and service is excellent! Make sure to book a reservation! The walk from the beach is very nice and passes lovely old fishing cottages -- the walk through the industrial side is less appealing.
Absolutely fantastic. We arrived an hour early to our reservation as we had finished in town. I had tried to phone but it was engaged so we chanced it being OK. It was absolutely no bother and we were seated straight away. The food was devine. Such a lovely environment and the staff were excellent. Such knowledgeable staff that were just the right amount of attentive. Great experience and CAN. NOT. WAIT. to go back and have that linguine again. Would recommend to everyone!
We took a chance on this place and we're so glad we did. The view of the harbour entrance and sweeping views of the beach make this first floor restaurant a stunning location. The welcome was warm and the staff were friendly. The menu celebrates local produce - especially sea food. There are daily specials which respond to the catch of the day. We shared a starter of Szechuan squid which was perfectly cooked and served with a rich and complex broth with a little heat, ginger and citrus. For mains my better half went with pan seared sea bass with samphire oil, kale and risotto. I had shellfish linguine. Everything was perfectly cooked, the respective sauces helpful each dish sing. The chilli with the linguine made it zing! The desserts were of equal high quality. This is a seriously excellent kitchen with a great front of house experience, unique location and good ambiance. Highly recommended - excellent value for money. We shall be returning . Vegetarian options: Good choices Parking: Right outside Wheelchair accessibility: Entrance is gained by climbing a spiral staircase. We didn't notice a lift. Restaurant on first floor. Dietary restrictions: Keen to respond positively to allergies
Delicious and fresh seafood. Would definitely come back and recommend! We ordered the shrimp starter, scallop starter, fish and chips, and langoustine main.
Fantastic hidden gem in Aberdeen. Worth the walk through the industrial harbour. One of the best fish dishes ever and some awesome flavours. Thanks to the chef for the recipe to one of his great dishes!
Arrived a little early. The table was ready and the chairs comfortable. Stil water and a beautiful Muscat wine were ordered. For starters we had beautiful fish pie with fresh cucumber salad and lightly smoked fish; and smoked chicken pistachio falafels. Delicious and gently complex in tast and texture. The muscadet wine was a perfect match. The polite, efficient and accurate staff made sure we had a wonderful evening. The cath of the day was hake wrappedin Parma ham. Perfectly cooked on a ratatouille bed. An imaginative devine experience in both taste and texture. The battered crunchy sole with chunky chips and salad was equally good. Moist, tender and tasty. For desserts we shared an artisan Scottish cheesplatter, and than had a triple chocolate brownie and a bailey's and hosted hazelnutt cream brulee. Accompanied by Sticky Micky and a beautiful long port. Thank you for a wonderful evening. We'll definitely will be back.
