Fenn Bell Zoo
"The Fenn Bell Conservation Project was started with two Kune Kune pigs, Ginger and Spice. Little did I know how taking these two pigs on would change my life and open up a whole new world for me.Fast forward to today and we have achieved so much. We have lots of local schools visit us to learn about the animals and the natural world. We are now working with Hadlow and Mid-Kent college with their animal management students helping to produce the next generation of zookeepers and conservation warriors.Conservation, education and research must be the way forward for us all.As for Ginger and Spice, they are still here with us.We look forward to seeing you all here and hope you enjoy your visit."

Great little conservation centre, doesn’t look big from the roadside but upon entering pleasantly surprised, large selection of animals, large play area for children and plenty of benching to have a spot of lunch, premises were extremely clean, plenty of walking areas and higher areas to observe. Animal pens were very clean and tidy and welfare was of the highest standard, they looked super happy! Can go round multiple times in case you missed any sleepy animals, pub also attached next door should you fancy some lunch and a drink. Highly recommend.
A small but well designed zoo, focusing on the conservation of the animals. Keepers and other staff are friendly and helpful, and happy to answer more detailed questions. Newly added quad bike powered tour around the edge of the park is a great addition. Plenty of free parking and refreshments and food available onsite. New additions being made all of the time. Would definitely recommend to anyone.
Love visiting here, the kids really enjoy it aswell. Lovely, decent play area which is over looked by animals, ample seating, and friendly staff. Then once you have finished the zoo, you can have food in the pub which serves amazing food!! Menu is smaller than a large chain, but quality out weighs that!! Then after food the kids can go bk out to play.
Lovely little zoo which is a delight to have in Medway. We spent about 90 minutes here but for the price paid, I think it was worth the entry cost we paid £40 for 2 adults and 4 children. There is a variety of animals and very knowledgeable keepers. The little safari trek also offered additional insight into the animals and a different view if they were hiding at the back of the pens. There is also a little play area for younger children and food available from the pub. All in all definitely worth the money to see the animals and support a local conservation project.
Really good conservation zoo in nice location. We did the fox experience with Jack Which was an extraordinary experience getting a better understanding about the foxes and their life. The zoo has a nice layout and lots of other animals. A really good place to come to and explore and most of all spend money to help.
Such a great place, the animals are very well looked after and cared for. Great for anyone who loves animals. It's also part of a pub, which we went to afterwards for some food which was lovely. Totally recommend it if you're up for something to do on a quiet weekend or if you have kids. There is also an opportunity to feed some of the animals and hang out with the meerkats for a fee.
First impressions often set the scene. The overflow car park was pretty much just a huge puddle and extremely muddy. Getting a push chair through was interesting. As it wasn't the best of days weather wise, we decided to get some food just as the kitchen opened at midday. Unfortunately the dining area was absolutely freezing! I asked if there was any heating and was told that although the building opened in November, they still hadn't had any fitted! You order your food outside at a small bar and then wait 45 minutes for it to arrive. To be fair the food was just about ok. Part of my burger was burnt but the rest of the food wasn't bad, albeit a bit pricey. The zoo itself isn't particularly big and took about 30-45 minutes to get round. Some of the animal enclosures looked ok. Others seemed small and the animals bored and unstimulated. Felt a bit sorry for some of them to be honest. The area that was obviously the Christmas grotto, was still there but strangely had a skeleton hanging up left over from Halloween. The kids play area seemed good until we saw numerous children slip and fall on the ramp up to the slides. My wife went to help our son and also nearly fell over. It was extremely slippery and not great in winter weather. Glad we'd only paid the reduced £2.50 entry fee £7.50 in total for two adults, one child and an infant At the usual prices I think I'd have been even more disappointed.
Lovely day out went round it twice. Fairly priced. Currently extending the zoo. My daughter had asked to have a macaw feather that was on floor in cage to be told its againist the law. Portaloo toilet available outside. Ice cream and food available on site. Hand washing facilities on site.Visited onWeekdayWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedYes
We went here for the fox experience which was amazing. Got to feed them and learn more about them. This is a small but beautiful zoo. It is next to a pub with a nice menu for lunch or dinner. This place is well worth a visit and I'm sure we will be back.
