Story

The Feng Shang Princess, Floating Chinese Restaurant is set in the splendour of London's Regents Park, Cumberland Basin, magnificently hand crafted in the 1980's, as the first floating restaurant of it's kind in London. Over the years it has been a favourite Chinese eatery for many, including celebrities from the world of film, music and TV. Proprietor Karen Chua creates a special ambience for her customers and is always on hand to ensure that you get nothing less than exquisite Chinese food and delicacies combined with exceptional service.

"This is no ordinary Chinese restaurant. Situated in the Cumberland Basin near Primrose Hill, Feng Shang Princess is an ornate, three-tiered floating pagoda in classic Chinese red, with lanterns swinging along each side. It's quite a sight to behold and with a menu to match. Inside the modest space are circular tables surrounded by plump leather chairs where diners can tuck into East Asian cuisine from China, of course, but also Singapore, Thailand, Malaysia, Mongolia and Japan. Stir-fried seafood, vegetables and noodles of all kinds abound, but other items such as curried beef, crispy duck, smoked chicken and sour soups also feature."

Dear all,  If you are looking for the perfect events and special occasions restaurants Feng Shang Princess it's the right place. The location it's impressive in all his aspects, the quality of the food is outstanding and the service it's up to a professional Micheline stars restaurant. You can feel the freshness of the food, and enjoy it trough an amazing canal view. The staff will accommodate all your requests and do their best to provide you an unforgettable experience!  I really recommend this restaurant. The price, the location, the food quality and the service it's all worth it!

I liked the photos of the restaurant and my expectations were high. We booked the table, received the confirmation last night and today they had no clue we were coming. The restaurant is much smaller than on the photos and extremely acoustic. Next to us was a group of 10 people who whose screaming made impossible for us and other tables to communicate. The waiter came to take the order, shouted so much that I had to address it. Very unfriendly too. The food was served in some kind of plastic plates, to my surprise. No tablecloth. All that noice made for us impossible to enjoy and food was not bad but nothing special. We felt rushed too . Also, very pricey for this kind of service, ambiance, etc. I will not be rushing back to visit.

I found this place to be quite expensive considering that we ate off chipped tableware and fold-up picnic tables. We decided to visit this place because of the vegetarian options available; though sadly we found the 'mock chicken' quite slimey and unseasoned. On the plus side, the views can be quite nice if you're seated by a window. The Feng Shang Princess is a novelty of being a restaurant on a boat. All in all, there are much better Chinese restaurants in London. I definitely won't be returning here.

Good atmosphere with nice food and lovely setting. Beef noodles were good and so the pork dumplings the vegetables were a bit bland

Prettiest tastiest Chinese food, went for my birthday, yes above average price but look at this gorgeous location and venue and the service is lovely too!!

The restaurant is fantastic, was beautifully decorated.  The starters were amazing mains didn't think as much of.  Drinks weren't cold unfortunately.  Overall night was lovely!

I read here many reviews from people about the high cost of the menu or that the restaurant had other customers who were talking very loudly, or that they did not have salt on the table, it seems highly ridiculous to write that.  If you are not exonomically prepared to spend, cook at home or go to Mc or KFC.  What is the fault of the staff, the restaurant or the owner of the restaurant who were talking loudly at the neighboring table?  Today I was with my mom and daughter for lunch and I can guarantee that the food was highly delicious and that it was worth all the money.  Please, before leaving a review think, not everyone is interested in knowing your complaints as children.

Very nice food, good viewing. The only thing I should notice that there isn't a toilet. So I could not drink alcohol here. What I suggest is to add a toilet, that could be better. Thanks.

New Vegetarian dishes are surprising good like aubergine tofu hot pot,  long beans in black bean sauce, tasty fresh seaweed cucumber salad, fried tofu cubes with salt and pepper, vegetarian spring rolls. In addition, we ordered fresh sea bass fish fillet and the best salt and chili squid in town. Surprisingly, we actually finished them all as they are just so nice. Lucky to get Uber to get us home because we could not walk!
