I've been here a couple of times now, food is great. It's a quaint little restaurant. Service was brilliant. It was always for an occasion and staff made it a lovely experience, I know big tables can be hard to service and we appreciate the care taken. Thank you.
Been a few times here and it's always been a nice experience. The staff are great, the food is really good. On the latest visit for a family meal, I'd ordered a steak, cooked beautifully, would highly recommend. Update, came again for a birthday meal with the family, ordered the same steak again, just as amazing as last time, perfectly cooked and tasted fantastic, cannot fault these guys whatsoever. The price for the food is unbelievable - in a good way - great value for what you get, staff are just as friendly and inviting as always. This place is ran amazingly well
Fabulous meal for 5 tonight at Fat Olive. All dishes cooked to perfection and service was flawless. Highly recommended!
Booked for Christmas Day 2022 4pm sitting. 10min late to sit down as the 12pm booking hadn’t finished. It went downhill from there. 1h wait for starters then further 1.5h wait for mains which were lukewarm and the potatoes raw. Had to abandon the rest of the meal to get our baby home for her medications and bottle for bed left at 18:40 so didn’t get any dessert or afters. At £85 for a party of 10 can honestly say it wasn’t worth £15 each at best. No apology from management. Waiters/waitresses kept saying we were in a queue yet it was a set booking. My mum is diabetic so to wait 2.5h for food when she had had her insulin is dangerous. Avoid at all costs! We have had good food from here previously however they had seriously misjudged how to take a mass booking and had overbooked as multiple families were complaining at the same time as ourselves with children crying due to being hungry.

Went yesterday and was put on a table that was really for 2 people, squashed in a corner we couldn't move. This was booked weeks in advance and the worst table again was presented to us. People behind us couldn't gey in their seats as it was so tightly packed. I was expected to sit with a table leg between my legs as the table wasn't suitable for 4 people. The manager had no intention of moving us even though she could easily have swapped as there were 3 empty tables waiting for people. She was quite rude actually when we left, couldn't wait to get out and had a lovely meal elsewhere, to be honest she done us a favour.
Great place. Food is lovely. We went for the Early Bird menu & they certainley don't skimp on portion size or quality. The pate is tasty and the brisket of beef was lovely. The chips are so good. It was very busy so diffucult to get waiters attention. We all enjoyed it but surprised to see veg is extra when on EB. There is also a service charge which we all thought was a new thing.
Had a lovely evening there last night celebrating my birthday with family.The food was excellant and the service bob on.nice friendly staff on the whole we had a great time and prices very reasonable would highly recomend a visit.Food: 5/5
Waiting staff were either too eager to try to clear plates or then left you waiting! Carbonara had lots of pancetta and chicken but was also very salty. The Creme Brulee, which I expected to be a light custard under a burnt sugar topping was a thickened set custard with very thin sugar layer, partly burnt. Overall, disappointing experience saved by the company I was in! Parking: Relatively close after 5pm. Earlier, you need to park further away. Parking limited to 1 hour up to 5, then free.
Brilliant food and a warm welcome from the host. They clearly take their profession seriously and the food speaks volumes to this, not the biggest portions in the world but the quality is sensational. I'd personally recommend the thai fish cakes or duck paté starters and the garlic bread. There are too many good mains to pick between so you'll just have to go for yourself and find out!
