Farrows Fish & Chips

Won’t be visiting Farrows again. Awful service and the chips were cooked in old oil. The owner carried on with online orders despite the shop being full of customers. Took an hour to get our food and I feel stupid for staying that long and not walking out. Comments of it’s the best chippy in Bristol we’re being muttered to make the queuing idiots feel better but I assure you that is no more.

Cute little place without much seating or parking nearby. Overall the experience was okay, but the service was oddly trite and not warm which is surprising for the UK. The fish and the pickled eggs were definitely the highlights. The egg in particular was nice and light with a tart finish not overwhelming at all. The cod was well fried and wasn't too greasy. The chip order medium was far too large for one person and we're a bit over fried and dried-out for my liking, but maybe it was just a poorly made batch.

This used to be fantastic but think been taken over recently . Priority to online orders , queued for 30 mins for 2 portions of chips. Avoid!

Best fish and chip shop in Bristol! Love their haddock and chippies so much, always so fresh.

The home made fish cakes 5* on there own. Best I have had in years.

Ordered this evening. Half punnet of chips were just bits. Really disappointing considering the cost. It's not the first time I've had a poor order here. Not what it used to be.

Had an excellent Christmas dinner thanks to Farrows! Fish and chips are as excellent as you could hope. Traditional, but absolutely delicious.

Popped in on Friday evening for a Friday Fish supper - Was busy but it didn't take long to get our order - Fish was tasty & batter crispy - chips were on point cooked to perfection - Farrows never fails to deliver - great local chippy Totterdown is lucky to have you folks!

Imho the best fish n chip shop in England. I travel all around the UK on work and often treat myself to fish and chips and when I'm in Bristol Farrow's is a must. When every time over the past 2 years the fish and chips has been consistently crisp and dry. You know this is a fantastic fish and chip shop. Thx
