One of the best Sunday roasts I have had in a long time. I ordered the pork, mostly for the crackling which didn't disappoint. The portion sizes were very substantial and it came with a great variety of vegetables. You order via an app and the food came very quickly. It is a bit of an odd set-up as there are tables everywhere and it can be a bit hard to get around the shop and find one, it might be good to have somebody at the door that can take you to a free table. Otherwise, really great experience and would definitely come back if in the area.
A great square shaped restaurant and gift shop, perfect for families and for casual business meetings. I saw a variety of people eating and drinking coffee, some held meetings and others were there with a dog and a friend. The gift shop areas are fab, with various gifts and things for your pantry, pets and children! Excellent food, they were really accommodating for my dietary needs and they provided a fast, friendly service.
Cannot fault the food, a real treat when you don’t have the energy to cook a dinner yourself! The “waiting for a table” system does need to be formalised and made clear to visitors though as last time people arriving after us were seated before us. EDIT- there is now a “please wait to be seated” sign at the main entrance, it takes away all the stress of finding a table ourselves! Updated review to 5 stars
Had a walk here whilst being o site for coffee and a chance to be away from work. Do love being here, very relaxing, food smells fantastic. Even have a log burner. Sit and relax! Back in January, coffee, cake. Did see the cyclist ride past. Wow.Food: 4/5
I have visited the Farmers Fayre several times, each visit receiving a consistent quality of food, drink and service which is excellent. Those in my party have always ordered breakfast items, ranging from the full english through to breakfast rolls and eggs benedict. I am always impressed with the number of staff working which provides a quick service. Special shoutout to the freshly squeezed orange juice Photo of the full english attached
Most disappointed, had full English breakfast which was at best lukewarm !! Bacon so over cooked like cardboard i couldn't eat it, portion so meagre even the black pudding was half a slice!! To top it all no teaspoons just a wooden stick.. For the price I would've expected a lot better. Had Sunday lunches there before that I've always enjoyed.. Sorry guys after yesterday's experience yr on my avoid list from now on.. Couldn't recommend you..
I went there to have a coffee with friends, so didn't eat anything. The staff were friendly and helpful. It is a really nice farmers shop, with lots of delicious produce, gifts and was just getting set up for Christmas. Will be visiting again soon.Food: 4/5
Very lovely people and friendly service. Excellent fresh high standards fresh produce with most of the produce having minimal middling. Quality is reflected in prices but the value for money is 5 Everything about is 5 Stars.
I have been before. Last time was very good. But this time poor presentations. Over £7 for a sandwich, no garnish and on different plates to the rest of dinners, Very small and looked like granny's odds and ends.
We stopped on the way on holiday. We had 3 baps, varying bacon or sausage. Two 'hot' drinks. Extremely expensive. Won't call on the way back like we'd said. Other farm shops we've visited are far better.
