I went to the practice last June with a broken tooth. The dentist performed an X-ray and told me I needed to have a crown fitted on and scheduled my next appointment on the 22nd of August. When I arrived that day, she drilled into my she drilled into my gum and told me to come back after 17 days. During this time my gum had swollen where she drilled it and I believe it may have become infected. After 17 days she fitted in the crown and then gave me antibiotics for my infection. Within a week the crown fell out and when I came back to ask why, she said that there was not enough teeth for the crown to be fitted and and a root canal needed to be done, which begs the question, why did she not do that to begin with and subject me to that much pain? This is why I am not at all satisfied with this service.
Professional Dentists and Hygienist. I’m always nervous when attending appointments at the dentist but they always make me comfortable and make feel at ease . Lots of communication through any procedures . The Hygienist Danielle was lovely and my nerves went through the procedure . Highly recommend, thanks for making a nervous patient feel welcome
Absolutely disappointed. I will never come back. I’ve paid £23.80 for a regular check. Before, the dentist would wash my teeth little bit and take an X-ray. But today, the dentist done NOTHING. He just looked my teeth and tell me how many problems I have which took 2 minutes Then he told me if I need to have further treatment I can book another appointment and pay how much money. I can’t believe the £23 is just for this. Then what next? Pay another £23 for drill a hole on my teeth and another £23 for fill it and another £23 for sand it down and another £23 for apply an uv light? What a joke. Don’t bother to come. Just look into a mirror and turn on your phone torch, you can earn £23 yourself within 2 minutes.
Omg! My 8 year old son went in for a filling, couldn’t handle the pain even after the anaesthesia. The dentist then referred him to a place where he could be sedated for the treatment , nearly 4 months on I called them to get the name of the place and check where my son was on the waiting list. Turned out she referred him to the wrong place , they on ly treat over 16’s. Called them again and she made another referral to the right place . I called them they said yes he was referred today but is a long waiting list! Of course it is! 4 months wasted! No apologies from the dentist. I’m in the process of making an official complaint! Found a new dentist already.
Visited dentist and was advised of infection in gum. Given antibiotics. Called again as pain still there and was booked in again and dentist scheduled to have tooth taken out. Visited this morning and Dr Khanchi and nurse were Shannon fantastic. They could see i was really nervous and anxious. The care and support i received has been amazing. Dr Khanchi was calm, caring and was always ensuring i was ok. Shannon was great at keeping me calm and chatting to me to keep mind occupied. Amazing the calming nature and reassurance can make your visit and you feel better Thank you so so much
I wanted to say a big thank you to the team at Family Dental Westcliff. I spoke to Sarah a very helpful lady recently who was absolutely fantastic and gave me the much needed help and support for my elderly mum who is temporarily residing in a care home following a broken hip, and needed urgent dental care. She really went above and beyond in these difficult times to ensure my mum's needs were met. I would not hesitate to recommend the practice. Thank you.
I have been attending this dentist for years and they never fail to impress me with their kindness and understanding. I always have the same dentist and I am so disappointed when they move on. Every new dentist is as kind and friendly as the one who has left so I don't worry too much. Excellent staff and nurses as well. Thank you to you all. I have to mention Dr. Danai absolutely amazing.
Dr Danai is amazing, one of the kindest most down to earth dentists i've ever met! She is so professional but has such a calming aura about her, put me at ease and took away all my worries. Would have left 5* but i found the reception staff cold and rude, and very dismissive on the phone, such a contrast to the lovely dentists.
Doesn’t deserve any stars to be completely honest. Come out of this dental surgery feeling traumatised & terrified. Not comforting at all especially with patients with high functioning anxiety. Came in for a tooth that needed to be removed, to then be prodded with what looks like a Phillips screwdriver and asked if the area was hurting to which it was as I’ve just been prodded with this mental tool. Anyway as I was having a removal done I was in floods of tears and discomfort and during the procedure I asked very clearly for the woman to stop as the procedure was hurting she then replied it’s nearly out and proceeded even though I told her not to as I was in floods of tears as it was hurting. Come out traumatised. DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS DENTIST SURGERY AS THEY GO AGAINST YOUR WISHES WHEN TOLD TO STOP.
Emergency visit. Was shouted at asking why am I here. Shouted at 5 times why are you here. And had a filling done no injection. Waist of my time back square one. Rude nasty man. Glad back old dentist now. Not one being shouted at but why he's doing my tooth. Kept my calm. Unimpressed never use this place again.
