It's always been a tradition for family to come here, my grandpa came for his boxing day supper in 1943 and my grandma painted a picture of the cafe in the 60's which used to hang on the wall (we can't see it now?). I have eaten here since childhood and have always been pleased with the quivmck service and simplicity of the food. Always filling with a nice atmosphere and never overcomplicated. We will be back.

Very friendly staff. Nice coffee at table looking over Fairhaven Lake so could watch the water fowl. Menu looks very interesting with wide range of meals available.

Lovely park with a boating lake, crown green and flat bowling green s, tennis courts, picnic areas, children s play area and cafe serving excellent food. Loved it.

The cafe its self is ideal for a break with lovely views over the water. Its good that dogs are allowed there as they deserve a drink too. ( altho we never had a dog with us ). The down side is the toilets has only one for the ladies so its queing outside. the prices are a bit steep as 2 teas & 2 slices of cake cost £9.10. But the staff was pleasant and nice. i think it just needs to have a adjustment on the prices to make it more digestible to have a proper meal there. Apart from that its worth the visit.
