Evenwood Farm
"The Evenwood Farm is located in Runcorn We’ve got something for absolutely everyone at Farmhouse Inns, whether that’s our freshly prepared carvery, comforting, much-loved classics, great-value breakfasts or dedicated menu for kids – it’s all guaranteed to please. Not to mention our huge, hand-decorated cakes and unrivalled baked puddings. We’re as big on quality as we are with our portions, which is why we slow-roast our meats for 14-hours, freshly prepare our veg, create fluffy, handmade Yorkies, ruffle-up our perfectly crispy roast potatoes, and bake and hand-decorate our giant cakes in our kitchen every day. So, you know you’re always getting a generous plate of proper food when you visit us at Evenwood Farm"

Just been there for a carvery, I've been to too many carverys, but let me tell you,you will not get a better one than in the Evenwood always piping hot,and I've never tasted roasties like ,hats off to the cheif,
We attended Evenwood last night for dinner on a spur of the moment. On arrival the atmosphere was quiet and relaxed and we were shown directly to a table. When ordering unfortunately Carvery was not available but we ordered from the menu instead. Staff were all polite and helpful. James delivered our meals to the table and was a lovely, helpful and polite server. Went the extra mile for us. The food was hot, well presented and proportioned. We even grabbed a piece of cake to take home. A great experience and we will be returning again soon.
Brilliant experience here at Evenwood, Carvery was tasty and Charlotte couldn’t have been more helpful! And let’s not forget the cakes which were to die for. Thank you Charlotte and team for today we will defiantly be coming again.
We go in hear a lot and every time with out doubt the food is perfect .I would like to say that Allan is an amazing bartender and is always great at for filling are needs .he will make sure we have everything we need and all the food is made to perfection. Good pub/restaurant. They have an all you can eat breakfast of a morning and also carvery later on in the day both of which is very nice and the prices are also good. They have a great selection of cakes/deserts which will be a big hit for anyone with a sweet tooth. The place is a descent size and there is plenty of parking but does get busy especially for the carvery so might be worth booking in advance.
Although food, drink, staff and venue was good, I have an issue with the blue light card 20% off as advertised or rather the not 20% off . There's a new way of presenting the blue light discount, now it has to be through the app through the farmhouse section, you cant just present your blue light card in the usual way to get a true 20% off. The app takes off the 20% discount then adds the VAT back on from the discount so end result NOT 20% off £72 to £63 is not 20% off. To me it seems like a bit of trickery is going on , a bit of a loop hole so they can still charge the customer more and not give the true 20% off. I feel you should either make it perfectly clear that it is not the full 20% off blue light card holders are getting or give the full 20% as advertised.
Love going Evenwood, normally never a issue, ordered the combo classic or of 6 chicken strips an 2 chicken breast, for 11.99 an add a steak to it for £5 extra. Chicken strips, steak an breast where really small an one chicken breast was hard on the outside. Will stick to carvery next time, there always spot on.
A usually pleasant experience ruined by the Greene King App, ordered carvery and drinks, 30 minutes after waiting went for carvery but no drinks, 40 minutes reminded staff of the drink situation, 45 minutes later drinks and food eaten. Call me traditional but I’d like a drink before and with my meal but not at the Evenwood! On to the quality of the food, low. Fresh beef was full of fat, fresh Yorkshire Puddings needed a pickaxe to cut, potatoes like shot puts. Not a good experience which is a shame
I chose the Turkey car very for delivery, super fast delivery however very disappointed with my food, the Turkey tasted awful, the stuffing was cold and the carrots broccoli and sprouts were not tasty. The gravy too salty and as you can guess I only ate the mash and parsnips. I will not order again
Sadly, in the past few months I noticed that not only prices went up which I get it but also certain products decreased in quality. Cheesy cauliflower is more of a watery cauliflower- you can't taste the cheese, whatever is there looks like it but taste like water, other vegetables I'm guessing more expensive ones has been replaced by 2 or 3 different types of potatoes-this is just about the carvey but the biggest disappointment my guilty pleasure is the cake away. Again forget about the price but for more money now you getting less. Today our giant eclair only kept its size, custard and jam filling was missing and even the chocolate from the top wasn't the same, very little of it and not the same taste, last time we had a slice of cheesecake and it was literally half the size what it used to be - when it comes to its taste was nice but again few bits we are used to were missing. Other items from the menu we would normally get also had changed or we are very unlucky. Fish from the fish and chips can never come fresh and crispy, lately I'm getting it very hard and it rather tastes like oil not fish really. On the plus side, staff is still lovely, very friendly and helpful:
