Felt ripped off after taking out a service plan then finding out when it came to service time out there were additional expenses for "recommended" extras not covered by the service plan. Then found out 2 weeks after the very expensive service that the oil filter hadn't been fitted correctly and oil had been leaking without my knowledge. When I discovered the leak, I went straight to the dealership to complain but the servicing dept. was closed for the weekend. I was promised a call back on the following Monday to discuss, but so far haven't recieved it.
Absolutely useless i booked my car in for a service 3 weeks in advance to get a courtesy car explaining I needed to drop off the evening before. I tried ringing through the day to make sure there was one available but nobody answered the phone or i just got put through to a completely different department who just placed me on infinate hold until the phone hangs up automatically. When i got to the dealership I was told no courtesy cars are available try again tomorrow. Unfortunately I start work at 6:30am so pretty useless considering i need transport and your not open at 6:30 am to do anything about it. Shame I didn't explain all this on the phone when I initially booked the service oh I did!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!. I will get somebody else to do my service who actually listens and is capable of answering a phone or even better do it myself for half the cost.
I purchased a car before Christmas, it was agreed the the marks dint's would be removed!! my husband collected the car and we went on Holiday, on my return i looked and the car and the marks / dint's were still there. I called up and spoke to Byron who sold the car to me, he couldn't under stand why it had nor been done. he check the service sheet and it said they couldn't reach them so they didn't do them. I ask what they where going to do about it an why hadn't someone said anything and he said his manager would call me that night after 4pm. This was a week ago and still no call. would i recommend this company HELL NO. stay well clear.....
Appalling customer service. Booked an appointment to come in and look at a car. We were interested in a particular car and decided to speak to the salesman and manager. One thing is clear; There is no such thing as a negotiation or customer service for that matter at this branch. Instead the manager came out saying 'I can make the car dearer and take more money off you!' That should be the tag line displayed on the outside of the showroom. Absolutely disgusting. Another remark that will sell any car from this manager was 'Either you can buy the car off us and have no problems or get it from a back alley dealer and have problems all your life'. and famously 'You'll be back I promise you'. This must be a 'how not to sell a car' tactic that is employed in the monthly targets and throughout the whole showroom. I've never written any review for a showroom but I had no choice after this experience. It seems that if the manager doesn't care about the sales or customer experience then what chance have the workers. A training course on customer relations should be arranged and booked by Evans Halshaw for the manager and workers of this place before it becomes even worse!
Absolutely disgrace and wouldnt recommend. - paid for petrol, they decided to 'forget' - with no petrol and waiting to leave for 2hours we decided to take the car as it was and follow up later, I my to breakdown on the way home with 2 children in the car! - once home, noticed the service ran out in 3months when we were promised it would have minimum 6 months u til next MOT/Service. Called to query this and they tried to say "no we leave at least 3 months on"...u til I pointed out that it says 6 months all over their website. - Booked in to service the car with pick up and drop off service. Waited until 11.30 when I phoned to find out we weren't even booked in! Complaints..don't bother! You call a centre and speak to a nice perso. Who totally agrees with your frustration and she will speak to the dealer manager. 5mins later, she puts you through to Neilhead of sales and he wasn't even updated with what the complaint was about. Anyway, Neil missed his customer service school and proceeded to ask me who was paying for the service...c'mon Neil, have a think .not me! Anyway, if I haste time or the energy to continue talking to these numpties I would. Instead, i will continue to share my experience and warn family/friends agains these people.
Miserable service department staff who are the worst I’ve ever seen, had a look about the showroom and nobody bothered talking to me, I was looking to buy a new small car for my partner so that was a waste of time and a couple of weeks later eventually bought her a fiat 500 she absolutely loves it Evans Halshaw seem to have a company wide negative staff attitude because their Ford showroom just up the road is nearly as bad! Terrible customer parking as a real struggle to find somewhere to park ther!
Took my Vauxhall Corsa 1.4T Black Edition to them last Saturday. I told them the issue I was having. The service manager and service advisor were very helpful in finding the fault on my vehicle. The branch I bought the car from Evans Halshaw Stockport had ‘bodged’ a coolant pipe with silicone rather than replacing it. The service manager was disgusted by this and replaced that for me also. They ordered the parts, and I came in the following Saturday at 8am for the work. I was told to pick the car up at 12pm, but the vehicle was ready at 11am. Very pleased with the service I received, will definitely use again for any warranty work I may require.

Started of well until recently. Unfortunately there work shop can't balance wheel meaning I have had to make a 60 mile round trip to get another Evans Halshaw to do it. I am still also waiting on my finance agreement to be settled as there currently selling my old car with any outstanding finance agreement against it. What's taking the Mick is all the promised call backs. I have now sent in a formal complaint to head office and an waiting on a response. Unfortunately what could have been a really good experience is being ruined. I would ideally like a call of the dealer principal to resolve this.
Quick to sell the car, after sale care horrific. Rang probably about 7 times to ask for the second key to the car which was supposed to have been ordered Still don't have the key . Got told by the service staff a 1.0L eco flex astra giving 17 miles per gallon was normal didn't realise it had a V6 engine hidden underneath. Stay away majority staff don't have a clue about cars.
