********************WARNING***************** Today I visited this dealership with a friend to have her car MOT'd and to be given a health check.... we dropped the car off at the appointed time (0900hrs) and we were told it would be ready at 1300hrs. The keys were handed over and as we were leaving a man who appeared to be sales attempted to sell my friend a newer car (bad move straight away). During the morning my friend tracked the progress of her vehicle on line as we WERE (notice the term were) leaving in the afternoon to go on holiday, at 1030hrs the car had been through its health check and it had that the rear drum/disc was a fail??? and at 1230 we were contacted regarding this (2hours really!!). Against my better judgement my friend agreed to have the drum replaced... As we live a few miles away we decided to return to cramlington and do some shopping and a bight to eat...As we pulled into the car park across the road from the dealership there was the car sitting in the shopping centre car park and the work on the rear drum hadn't been started. A question was put to the blonde lass in the service department of " why the car was parked in the shopping centre car park and why the work hadn't been started...?" It appears that this dealership can't organise a p/ss up in a brewery as there was no ramps available to complete the task, so as the nice people we are we gave them until 1400hrs to complete the job so we could be on our merry way and enjoy our well deserved break. Who was I fooling no less than 30mins a phone call was received saying that the vehicle would NOT be ready for 1400hrs, so they were told not to bother doing the brake drum and we'd pick the vehicle up.... soooo (same as before) we returned to which we were told that because the vehicle had not been repaired after it's MOT it was not road worthy and my friends car insurance would be void??? (Who do you people think you are??? The MOT police???) So as a woman does my friend got worked up and stressed at the thought of not being insured on her own vehicle.. (another bad move evens halshaw). So as a man who's been in the motor trade for a many a year I contacted another garage who told me they could do the car as soon as we could drop it off and re-MOT the vehicle for less than evens halshaw could do the rear drum. 6 month ago this dealer told me they would give me £1900 for a trade in against a Audi a3 so I paid them £200 to get the vehicle shipped to they're branch and the day before I was booked in to view the vehicle I received a phone call saying they would only offer me £1500 on my trade in (£400 less in less than 24hrs) but they wouldn't ship the vehicle from Manchester unless I agreed on the £1500 (even tho I'd paid £200 shipping cost). I turned they're offer down and was basicly told I could have my money back but it would be paid back but when they don't know.... PLEASE ANYONE WHO READS THIS REVIEW DO NOT USE THIS BRANCH OF EVENS HALSHAW, IF YOU HAVE THE MONEY TO THROW DOWN THE PAN PLEASE DONATE IT TO ME OR GO TO ANOTHER GARAGE AND GET THE WORK DONE TO A PROPER STANDARD.... IF YOU WISH TO KNOW OF A GOOD GARAGE PLEASE CONTACT ME.. SADLY OR HAPPILY AS THE CASE MAY BE WE WILL NEVER USE EVENS HALSHAW AGAIN AND DONT BELIEVE THE ADVERTS ON TV BECAUSE THEY WILL JUST RIP YOU OFF.

⚠️⚠️ WARNING ⚠️⚠️ Avoid this dealer at all costs there after sales team is non existing as is any customer service we bought a £13,000 car and because we part ex a car in for it we were told we aren't allowed the spare key for our car untill they get Log book which we had lost due to a house move so we found it and posted this to them due to it being a 40 mile drive for us we were told to pop in to pick up our spare key and parcel shelf (which the car didn't have either) next time we were in the area 3 days later we drove down to get the key and parcel shelf when we got there we were told lady who sold us the car had left the company so they will get onto it for us straight away so i left my number and went for dinner over the road then popped back in to be told that they can't find my key and theres no parcel shelf i asked for a manager when he turned up he said he would find the key and order the shelf asap and post them out to us so after waiting 4 months i called up and not a single person had a clue what i was talking about so again i gave all details of the situation and was told they would post it all out to us 3 more months later i call up and again no body has a clue what i am talking about i spoke to a different manger gave the same story and got the same response we will sort it and send it out to you it may take a bit of time due to sale not being recent so i wait a year i then walked into the sales room and gave the keys back gave the full story and told the sales man to keep the car pay off the whats left on the finance and get a manager to sign a cheque for compensation. I was told the same story i will sort it i will sort it give me all your details AGAIN if u don't here from us on Monday call and ask for Mark so i didn't hear as always so i emailed head office and explained all again to get the same kind of emails your details have been passed to the dealer please wait for a response i have waited another month and called garage again to be asked for all my details and all the story again and to be told al get a phone call back. still nothing another month later so please please please nobody ever buy from these again i am currently working with local Facebook famous guys and bloggers to set up a page to warn all car buyers about this and now currently looking for a legal route to take as there is somebody out there with a key to my car which will void my insurance if it is stolen. Also if i lose my key am stuck with three small children. I will name and shame with full Facebook screen shots of all sales people managers and any other staff who have ever took my details so you have been warned.

Very dissappointing. Booked car in to be sold today as picking up new car on Tuesday. To be told that they dont buy cars on a Sunday (Even though their system booked the appt for me). Told them my car is not going to be insured from Tuesday, thats why i wanted it booked in to be sold today. They said "Its not our fault"!! I think you need to sort your booking system!

Terrible experience, lied stalled and then lied again. Seriously go elsewhere to buy your car. Sales team deliberately misleading with the finance process! BUYER BEWARE

Would also give minus star if possible. Customer service is appalling. I bought my car 2 1/2 yr ago. After 14month the stipes were coming off. After numerous calls over a 3month period with no call back I emailed head office. Only then did they actually fix the problem. In the meantime I had the service team on phone reminding me of my service being due I told them I will not pay £177 for a service until I have my car fixed. Which resulted in a late service. Booked it in with an engine light on to be told due to it being late for its service it is no longer under warranty. Needless to say I did not leave it for its service and I will not be using them again. Sales team are great maybe you should send your customer service team on a few training days!
