It’s a bit of a hit and miss with this branch. I have rented numerous times with them through a third party website. I have been given a car that was not cleaned on one occasion, a car that smelt of smoking all over and a car that didn’t have a full tank ( I wasn’t charged for it , but the agreement was full tank). One of their staff members was extremely rude to me at one occasion and refused to give me a car I had booked because I had a EU (non UK) driving license and claimed that their insurance company no longer covered EU drivers who lived in the UK for more than 1 year. Ended up that he got the wrong end of the stick. However despite this they do have a good manager and I have dealt with another one of their staff members who is always helpful.

Arrived 2 hours earlier than planned pick up on busy Saturday morning at Reading, UK depot. Staff polite and processed promptly. All additional options (insurance add-ons etc.) explained. Basic operation of unfamiliar vehicle clearly explained and pick-up process completed smoothly. Vehicle in excellent condition, performed well over 21 days, and was returned on time undamaged. Return process at Stansted Airport just as smooth and simple. Third time we have used Europcar and will continue to do so.

Horrible branch, use a different branch. I owed £50 that they forgot to charge me for a car rental, instead of calling to let me know, they decided it would be a better idea to block my name in all car rental systems so when I tried to rent from another branch my ID was flagged. I wasted my time and money when they could have just let me know. Ridiculous. Stay away, you've been warned.
