I contacted Essex Financial Planners when I was left in the lurch by my previous mortgage advisor. Max Waterman was recommended by a close friend. From the moment I contacted their offices I felt valued by all of the staff. Max spent time and effort understanding our financial situation and listened to my concerns regarding potential massive rises in my mortgage rate. He managed to secure a re-mortgage deal for me at a favourable rate at the time and also put together a plan for a few years time when we will re look at the situation again. The advice and expertise shown by Max and the teal on my help to buy re-mortgage was fantastic and I would highly recommend them to anyone. Max also has an amazing social media page on the usual platforms where he explains mortgage products in a clear and informative manner. Definitely worth a follow! Thank you Max and EFP

Not usually one to leave reviews but in this case, I made an exception! From the first call we made to Max in August 2022 which was made based on other excellent reviews, until today where we are soon to be collecting the keys to our first new home that we never thought would be possible, Max has been exceptional. He has guided us through the whole process from start to finish and made everything so understandable and simplistic for us. Max is literally the best mortgage broker ever! In a tumultuous market and with a difficult property, he was the only broker out of many who managed to secure us a fantastic mortgage. He spent so much time going through options with different lenders, breaking down all the information and helping us with paperwork. He explained every single step and was always available to help and answer questions. Even after the deal was signed, he took time to discuss insurance options and reassure us when our exchange was taking a long time. Without Max, we wouldn’t be moving into our new home! We will definitely be back to him when it comes to a new mortgage or moving home. Highly recommend and we will be passing his details to all of our friends and family.
