COFFEE | CYCLING | CULTURE

Cambridge's finest independent specialty coffee shop & restaurant as well as a cycling club & art gallery

Story

The café offers an exceptional space accessible to our Cambridge community. A unique collection of shared experiences, passions, conversations and of course fantastic coffees.

Set up by John Gull and Malgo Dzierugo, Espresso Library opened on February 9th 2015. The couple wanted to create a space which reflected their interests and what they are passionate about - John is an eager road cyclist and time trialist, mathematician, chess enthusiast and coffee lover. Malgo is an art historian, yoga teacher and a keen cook with interest in simple, healthy and nutritious food.

Cute little place, been there for brunch and it was excellent. The food looks amazing and tastes even better, I tried the Kimcheese and I highly recommend it. It's also just a nice place to sit down in, it has a very modern look and has plenty of light because of its huge windows.
Lovely calm atmosphere with local artists work on the walls. Felt Covid secure. Food was delicious - welsh rarebit and avocado on toast both really good. Reasonably priced. Only thing stopping me from giving 5 stars is that the coffee cappuccino while still nice, was a little watery, lacking a coffee oomph.
Great to see Espresso Library back open. On a warm early afternoon, perfect to sit outside to grab some brunch. The bacon bun with bacon & poached egg filled me up. Recommend trying the London Fog drink milk with vanilla and earl grey.
Excellent service, great coffee and food. My favourite place in Cambridge for brunch. Granola the best I've had in town. They also care about their coffee taking the time to explain taste profiles on a busy morning when I asked about buying coffee beans. Popular with cyclists at the weekend with plenty of seating outside.
A little slice of sanity, calm and cool with superb food
Lovely latte served by lovely people. I sat outside in the sun and the staff were helpful, cheerful and attentive. I very much enjoyed it there.
