AVOID THEM!!!!!!! I call them Sunday and because they said that they can come Monday I cut the gas. They didn't come in the morning and they call me to let me know that they will be late, but nobody arrived until 5 p.m. I call them and the lady said that she will investigate and call me back so I waited until 10 pm. Fail again. I call back they rebook for Tuesday morning in the end, someone arrive around 1 pm after I call in the morning again. The guy didn't come to do the job expected. He did an assessment scribe something on some paper and he left saying that I will be contacted. Today is Thursday and no one contact me, so they left me in a impossibility to cook with a toddler in the house. No commitment, no respect, and terrible service from the beginning to the end. Do not forget that they are asking all your bank details by phone before the job been performed. This is a company which does not deserve to be on market.
For a start, on their website and on Yell, they pretend they have a 4* rating on TrustPilot. I spoke to someone called Claire H this morning Thursday. She was very helpful and arranged for an engineer to come out for half a day tomorrow. She even checked with the engineer while I was on the phone. We weren't expecting such a fast appointment but weren't going to complain, so we spent today preparing for them to come and do the work, including trawling the local town for outdoor lights! Tonight, at 4:45pm, we got a call from them saying that they were cancelling the appointment and that their engineer actually doesn't have availability until January. I would very strongly recommend that you AVOID this company.
Do I really have to leave one star for ERG, can't I leave none?? I can't review the work because after 5 booking slots nobody turned up. This was 4 no-shows and 1 re-arrangement, not by me. An unbelievable useless waste of time. I had to move work around to be able to do this and also wasted an entire Saturday waiting for someone to not turn up. Don't waste your time.
Called them at 13:00 hours after loosing all power to the house. I explained that I had an infant and could heat her food. I was told that they would be with us by 17:12hrs. But at 15:45hrs they called back saying they would not be able to come out at all. Fortunately another firm were able to come out within 30mins for less money. I would strongly recommend you avoid ERG
Booked and confirmed work to be carried out sometime between 09:00 - 13:00 the following day. No-one turned up had a heated discussion with customer services. They totally let us down would not recommend this Company for reliability, can't criticise the work as it didn't get done. Now having to arrange for another electrician to do the work........uuuuurgh
The reason engineers do not turn up for your jobs is due to the fact that they do not pay them! We completed a job at the beginning of August and have yet to be paid. Contracted engineers are invoicing ERG less than 50% of what the customers are paying and still not getting paid themselves. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY
Complete ripoff. Avoid this company. Charge around £140 for call out plus VAT and dont guarantee to fix the problem.
We have been badly let down by ERG. We organised an electrical inspection in Frampton on Severn in order to complete the purchase of a property. The electrician failed to turn up on two organised days leaving the Estate Agent waiting outside. This has put our exchange of contacts back a whole week and has cost us additional costs. Very frustrating.
Shocking can't believe the price to come out and open a stuck outside light and replace a bulb which we provided £155+vat do not use them
