Great service, nice vehicle. I've been using the Gloucester Enterprise branch for years; to move house, pick up new furniture or in a crisis when the car's been off the road. The staff change a lot but the service and quality of the vehicles remains good. On a couple of occasions work forced me to use other companies and they've never measured up to Enterprise.

The company I worked for rented a van from the Gloucester branch. When my van was fixed it was returned as agreed. This was 11 months ago ! When I picked up the van they asked for my bank card as a guarantee for the fuel I explain that I would not pay there£50 deposit as I was an employee and not the person renting the van. At this they then told if I let them swiped my card for a pound it would be fine. Since then I have left the company! This morning enterprise took £1000 out of my bank without any warning or communication, or my permission! 11 months later!! When I phoned enterprise they told me because they can’t get (deltapoint ) the company I worked for to pay their bill they have taken it off my card and told me that they won’t return my money and to chase my former employer for it! This is nothing but theft! They have stole my money And left me unable to pay my rent and put food on the table. Let alone the distress it has caused Which has left me thinking how many more people have they done this too! I WOULD AVOID LEAVING YOUR CARD WITH THESE PEOPLE!!!

£370 for 28 hours van rental. I recently moved home using Enterprise to rent a van. When I returned the vehicle, I was met with some hostility by the staff member, who after keeping myself and my partner, who is heavily pregnant, waiting for half an hour, said there was a problem and requested that we go outside and have a look at the vehicle together. We approached the vehicle where he indicated a scratch on the front of the vehicle under the driver side headlight and that the bumper was loose. The scratch was barely visible, I had not seen it previously and there was no point during my possession that it could have occurred. I know this as I had to park the vehicle diagonally in the drive at one end, would not have hit the bumper while manoeuvring the vehicle at the other, and surely would have noticed crashing the vehicle when driving it. I did begin to say this, when the Enterprise staff member stated I had even kicked the bumper back in to place in an attempt to mask this damage. He continued about his business, ignoring anything I had to say, treating me like a criminal, even handing me a form to sign, which claimed I was responsible for the damage. When I had previously taken the vehicle out, a staff member showed me the vehicle, quickly. We walked around the vehicle once, as he stated that any damage to the plastic parts was acceptable and I would not be charged for such, that there was a dent in the panel in the side of the vehicle, there was an error warning light on for the brakes, “but this is nothing to worry about and we are aware of it”, and talked over the vehicles controls. This was done quickly, which I believed at the time was to help me to get on my way. Now, upon returning the vehicle and being presented with a form to sign, which stated I was happy to pay for the repair, I refused. I was then told that it was irrelevant, as I had signed the previous form, leasing the vehicle, they would just take the money from my account (This was said in an unbelievably childish manor), even though I gave no consent to this at the time and contested having caused the damage while in possession of the vehicle. While there a lady who had been in reception when I was arguing with the staff member approached me and said stick with it, she had had the same thing happen to her previously. I asked how she had resolved the issue, to which she replied she got the police involved. I then another member of staff (as these vehicles change hands regularly and the damage may already be logged, with the member of staff being unaware of this). He looked at the records and even showed them to me. I am not familiar with their database, so would not know if I could see all of the records or a select few. However, the dent in the side of the vehicle was not mentioned in these records. When I asked of this, he stated this had been caused by his colleague days earlier. As much as this may explain away the missing record, I know for certain that I did not cause the damage I was charged for, his colleague may or may not have put the dent in the door, but there were missing records and the damage under the headlight is just a further example of this. Aside to the inadequate staff, Enterprise had provided me with a vehicle which had a brake servicing light on, which they said was nothing to worry about, but I might question whether if it is legal for rental vehicles to go out with customers in this state. I also discovered the front driver side tyre was nearly flat and below half the recommend pressure. Also, the suspension seemed to be on its way out. There was much damage to the vehicle inside and out, it had certainly been thrown around.
