Story

Located in the picturesque market town of Otley, West Yorkshire (11 miles from Leeds, Bradford, Harrogate and 14 miles from the A1) the business was established in 1948 by the late Edward Johnson, and is now run by his family, making it the areas longest serving family run motor dealership.

The business Edward created has always traded on its reputation for traditional customer care and quality of service and this is still the case today. The business still occupies its original site at Carr Bank, on the outskirts of Otley. The out of town site with modern purpose built premises and lots of off road parking offers customers excellent facilities for whatever their motoring need. This combined with our non stressful, unpressurised and friendly working environment, is reflected in the high level of repeat business we enjoy from our satisfied customers.

I have been working in the motor industry for over 30 years and can honestly say Andrew Johnson of Edward Johnson is one of the most professional and trust worthy car dealers I have come across in that time. His knowledge, car preparation and customer service is second to none in the industry.

As a woman purchasing her first Pickup Truck, I couldn't have felt more at ease and confident about buying from Edward Johnson Otley Ltd. I dealt with Andrew and he couldn't have been nicer. You see a lot of business's claiming to be 'a family business' to lull you in to a false sense of security but this is a genuine, honest and trustworthy family business. I turned up late in the day to view my pickup and even though it was Sunday and they should have been closing he made time for me to take it for a test drive by arranging for his mum to look after his son until his wife arrived. I've bought the Isuzu Yukon and I absolutely love it! It was gleaming and shiney like a brand new vehicle when I arrived to pick it up a week later (as it pretty much was on first viewing) and also because it had taken me an hour and a half to get there queuing in traffic all the way from Bolton, following Mr Sat Navs route, Andrew took the time to get the map out and show me an alternative, quieter more scenic way home. Thanks for that. Definitely worth the trip to see these guys, from where ever you are, as from my experience i can assure you, you can have complete peace of mind in buying from them.
