A friendly & welcoming minister leads Sunday worship at St Andrew's Clermiston. The minister's weekly sermons are often thought-provoking, while also relating readings to other events in history, both historical & more recent histories. A highlight for the young people is his 'Odd One Out' activity as part of worship! The Church halls are used for a variety of organisations & groups throughout the week, bringing the community together.
The congregation at St Andrews Church Clermiston is so friendly and welcoming. Worship is relaxed in style while being engaging and enriching. It has a liberal theological outlook and sermons and services have a real emphasis on living out the Christian values of peace and justice. Make sure you let them know you're a visitor and they'll make you most welcome. The church is very involved in the life of the local community as well and the building has halls that can be rented for local groups for great prices. The building itself is worth visiting as it is the only church in Scotland built by the famous architect Sir Basil Spence. You're best going on a Sunday when worship is on to get a look inside the building, but you can call or email the church office or minister as well to set up a time to get a look inside.
We were married here on 27th March 1971. We will celebrate our 50th Anniversary tomorrow. Rev Graham was the minister. Wishing all the congregation a safe return to worship soon. Best wishes Louisa
Very helpful staff they got us a great food bank thanks to the people that put in there food to help the familys if we did not have you we be hungry thanks again
