Not too bad. The Costa here was great. I took off two stars for the smoke and vape I had to battle at the entrances. Shopping malls should make entrances smoke free for at least 20m. It lingers indoors when it's that close. Pity that non smokers are not catered for.
Big, warn and clean. A lot of shops. You do not need to cross the busy road and shop.
Well, it's a Mall so what's to say if you've ever been in one? However, it is quite nice. It's very clean and well lit. When I went there were some vendors setup in the open areas where I was able to get a pretty good deal on some outerwear. The vendor was open to a bit of negotiation. I got 2 pieces for 100#'s that would cost 150#'s as labeled. So don't be afraid to ask for their best price regardless of the tagged sticker price. They will often make you a deal.
Had a little roam around and had to stop a couple of friends to ask for the directions of the toilet and it then turned into a manhunt to find the toilet, apparently I must be going blind because I failed to miss the sign but it was eventually pointed out to me. Anyway, they were a lovely old couple and helped me out. The clock is similar to the one in Dundee's wellgate centre so I had to take a photo for comparison, I wonder if the clocks are part of a set!? I'll probably upload the pic later*
Though not as large as many city centre shopping malls the Eastgate Centre in Inverness has quite a lot of the usual outlets, with one special feature being the animated clock across the upper main shops, which has many people with young children trying to there when it comes to life at the hour and 30 minutes. Both Boots and M&S have 2 floors at the main end of the building, that also has a wide central Mall with various retail outlets. The trouble with this site is that by going past certain shops it presumes that you went in and shopped at one or other of the places, as like today I visited a newsagents shop next to a Coop store, and again I was pestered to give my report on a place I didn't enter. So, like on numerous other occasions I then get asked to provide this site with my thoughts on places I don't visit, which makes the whole process a fiasco, but there again AI isn't as intelligent as this site's top brass seem to think it is. And therefore makes many of the reports possibly suspect, plus waste both my time and most probably many others, all so the top brass can boast of their sites accuracy and providing retailers with inaccurate surveys.
Had an unpleasant experience today, in the ground floor of The Eastgate Shopping Centre, sitting at the tables was eating a small pastry actually purchased from the Centre and was informed that I was not allowed to and had to go somewhere else. I have been doing this for many years- without any problem; there were no barriers or signs directing or informing customers of these new rules. None of the cafes near the tables appeared to be open or serving food at the time, to make matters worse I was actually challenged by the female server who was manning the new Indian style cafe and had moments ago just expressed a positive interest in this new venture to the female server who challenged me. As a business owner myself, I find this policy very unpleasant and disappointing, particularly when Inverness business owners should be encouraging potential customers back, after a dreadful year years. My best advise would be to avoid and take your business elsewhere, there are plenty of other businesses with a more welcoming approach.
nice place but my god easy to get lost in and the signage to get around is not that great. Main floor is WIDE tall and spacious and very well light by natural light but upstairs its totally the oppisate, short dark corridors with shops and other things I couldnt make out as I was only there to goto Boots......the prescription part of boots love to take forever to the point people get fed up and leave. Not really good that this happens and even I was late for an appointment thank's to them doddling about.
Tryed out new Loch and larder very nice
Excellent service very professional and care a great deal about testing, would recommend them to friends and family and any body else who need a good optician.
Large shopping centre in the heart of Inverness, lots of empty units when I visited, but has a good selection of food outlets on the ground floor. Food looked good but we didn’t stop to try.
