Established in 1970, walk through the doors of Eastern Tandoori and step into an unforgettable Indian experience. We are an award winning restaurant with over 40 years of experience.

The relaxing atmosphere in Eastern has something for everyone; whether it is a soothing drink after work, an intimate meal for two, private dining, corporate event, or a party.

At the Eastern Tandoori we have a variety of delicate dishes to suit all tastes, from Korma to Vindaloo and Phall dishes. A wide range of starters, Tandoori specialities, Eastern Special, Chefs Specials, and traditional English dishes. Vegetarian dishes are also catered for and are available with any chosen curry dish.

The team of experienced Chefs, headed by Head Chef Mr T. Ali, only use freshest ingredients, herbs and spices. All dishes are carefully prepared to individual customer requirement.

All of our customers are special to us and we reward each and every customer with our special Eastern Tandoori Loyalty Card. This will reward our customers with discounts on their meal for your loyalty.

Went for valentines, lovely food but could only manage pappadums and we had a mixed starter for two,drinks we were then asked about a main meal . As starter was huge we decided we could not manage a curry for a main we was then told if we did not order a main we would not of been allowed in . Our overall cost was £27.00 so we felt we had not been unreasonable but just full, i was disgusted by the attitude of one certain member of staff. The food was lovely what a shame about the obnoxious , jobsworth waiter that ruined our night. Shame on you because i would of recommended you to many .shame
Staff are willing. Food is reasonable with a fully visible kitchen. Prices have recently risen to compare with other Indian restaurant as they have widened the scope of the menu, without improving the quality. Free tipple after your meal makes you feel appreciated.
Noticed no recent reviews for this place. It has been hidden from my eyes for almost four years I've been in the area. The reason for that is that there's no proper advertisement and it is almost hidden very well. The map location was also incorrect which I have corrected now. You will have to take the dark stairs up to the first floor just above the vapour shop these days.The place is a bit dark inside too; not my type of place to dine in but that's just personal preference. I will review my review in a few days when I try some more food. For now, the rice are decent. The chicken and lamb is Halal; qeema is not.
Excellent restaurant with great staff and food. Have been visiting for many years. Came last night for a meal but it was closed and derelict with lots of unopened post. Looks like it has been closed many weeks. Great pity.
Absolutely beautiful food, the service is brilliant. They are very very friendly and so welcoming. A bit of a hard place to find as it's above everything but well worth a look. Food is amazing xxx
Ordered a takeaway from here last night. Food was fantastic yet very well priced, and staff were amazingly friendly at pick-up. We will be ordering from here again!
Absolutely gutted, under new management and no where near as good. Favourite curries are gone replaced with average offerings all made from the same sauce.
Excellent food and service at a reasonable price. Try the hot version of chicken tika jalfraizi if you want to taste spicy food. Well recommend
Been here many times get the chicken Korma each time. However very dissapointed it didn't taste the same won't be coming back nothing special.
