Completely incompetent in respect to where they need to direct their referrals but quick to send you off. I have been pregnant for over 3 months and I have been referred to the wrong institution 3 times already. That is connected with weeks of waiting for a simple appointment to make sure I am making a conscious choice with my pregnancy and every time it turnes I’m either out of the area, there is no such service offered or lastly there is no referral at all. The ‘practice has a call waiting time of a minimum of 20 min so better go on foot every time to try to solve any of these issues though unfortunately even that doesn’t help.

Their telephone triage (8.45am and 3.00pm each day, except Wednesday afternoon) is really helpful. Sure, you'll likely possibly be on hold for up to 30 minutes if you're not the very first person in the queue, but the fact you are called back (within an hour or so, usually) and your medical needs are quickly triaged by a GP with such a huge demand is a testament to the hard work the admin and GP team have put in to this system. Also, it's not a perfect solution when you find you can't immediately book a general face-to-face appointment, but given the pressure the surgery is under (a local GP practice closed at the end of 2017), they really are doing the very best that they can, freeing up slots for more urgent care. If you need to be seen for a general non-urgent concern, explain your situation to the receptionist on the phone and request a telephone consult. These happen very fast, within a day or so. You'll then be able to access face-to-face appointments if the GP thinks one is necessary, otherwise they'll advise and refer you to an alternative service if you need it. They quickly dispense prescriptions or paperwork for collection within a couple of hours of any call. The online services via EmisAccess are good. You can view your upcoming/past appointments, historic prescriptions, and also order new prescriptions. There are also options to view your medical record, though this may be limited. You can't typically book appointments online, as they're reserved by the surgery and can only be booked using the triage or telephone appointment method above. Overall, this surgery has taken a bit of a beating in these Google reviews. Long waiting times are a reality of the NHS and GP surgeries in general in 2018. I'm very happy with the service, even if there may be a hiccup here or there along the way.

Staff here is incompetent and some of them are very rude. I was supposed to do some test and reception advised me that I had to go into walk in centre... not true. I had to get an appointment and this luck of informations just wasted my time.

If you value your health and well-being, do NOT register with this practice. Arrogant, rude reception staff. ridiculously long phone hold times (sometimes between 30 mins to an hour) and uncaring, brash doctors. Sometimes there is no one at the clinic to attend to patients, even within opening/staff hours. Terrible practice all around. Would give this place 0 stars if I could.
